Mine was awesome! He outlived every fish I put in the aquarium and he was gorgeous. A really bright orange with perfect fins. He looked like a child's toy!Having tropical fish is cool but Goldfish are really only good for outdoor pools....IMHO

Yummm.
Awww!It was actually pretty cute. She had two goldfish.....the ten year old one and one that was about four years old. Towards the end, the old timer was actually blind and the younger fish would guide the old timer around in the tank.
Oh no! Poor little guy.I believe that, my mom has a little pond thing that surrounds the back patio with goldfish in it. One had a gimpy fin and another would swim it to the top of the water so he could feed when he couldn't do it alone.
Fish are definitely smarter than you may think.
A friend of mine had an Oscar that would spit rocks at the glass, literally trying to break the glass to escape. Eventually he forgot to close the top and it did escape, found it laying on the kitchen floor...poor thing.

Ouch! My husband had shoulder surgery a few years ago. No fun.Just got back to work after shoulder surgery, great to hear from you. Hope all is well.
I have not even uttered a word of impatience ...Good evening everyone. Hope everyone is as cool, calm and collected as I am about winning the Red Reliant....aaaaaaagh!!!!!!![]()

Happy birthday to your wife! It is also my sister-in-law's and 2 of my friends birthdays today, too. I feel bad every year now that it is such a day of mourning for our nation but I still celebrate their lives, just as I am sure you celebrate your wife's birthday. My own birthday is Veteran's Day, so I definitely understand sharing a special day with the memories of those how have gone before us.Today is my wife's birthday.
Can you imagine having to celebrate 9/11 every year?

Geee, I wonder why?!

I had a beautiful all white butterfly koi. Long, flowing fins......raised it from a couple of inches long until it was a little over a foot long. Lost it a few years ago when it didn't survive the winter.
The oldest recorded koi lived from 1751 to 1977I didn't know any fish could live that long, very interesting.
If you have good quality water, they can get enough oxygen to breathe through the winter even if the pond is frozen over. They look similar to goldfish which is probably what you had since it had long flowing fins. Goldfish can get up to a foot and a half long and can live 30 years or more. Koi get up to 3 feet and usually live 15 or 20 and up to 50 years.I had a beautiful all white butterfly koi. Glad it went well! speedy recovery to you! Thanks, all went well. I would trade my kingdom for a good night of sleep!
