Gawd...there's only one thing I hate worse than snakes and that's politicians. Oh, they're the same species....never mind.
Yup - I think they are the same - synonyms!!!Gawd...there's only one thing I hate worse than snakes and that's politicians. Oh, they're the same species....never mind.
Oh no - I would have to move out - I don't think I could live in a house with a snake. We had a mouse in the kitchen one time and I stayed in the bedroom all day till my husband came home from work and caught it!!! I think there is something wrong with me - I literally get so scared of snakes, mice, rats - I like goldfish, puppies, and kitties!!My daughter has a beautiful 4.5 foot amber/lavender corn snake here. Her name is nagini, after voldemorts pet from the harry potter movies
Oh my goodness - look at the size of that thing - Yikes I don't know how anyone can hold it - they look so slimy to me!I have some beautiful cottonmouth water moccasins in the beaver ponds below my lake. Only juveniles have came into the yard, but 2 of my dogs have been bitten. I killed the culprit and the dogs are fine now.
I've seen em this big at the shallow end of the pond. This guy looks like " Leonard, Take the d... picture!!!"

I saw a mouse in our old house....sat on the kitchen counter all day till hubby came home. He made fun of me...asks how I could have huge dogs that could rip my throat open but be afraid of one tiny thing more afraid of me than I am of it. Simple...I've bribed the dogs with treats, that mouseis a wild card...lmaoooooOh no - I would have to move out - I don't think I could live in a house with a snake. I hate poison ivy and oak!! One summer I had both at the same timeI am lucky to live in an area that has very few (if any) poisonous snakes or spiders. It is no problem to hike in the woods or go camping. Biggest problem is poison ivy/oak and ticks.
And sometimes lawyers....Gawd...there's only one thing I hate worse than snakes and that's politicians. Oh, they're the same species....never mind.
Poor Ducky! I've never had a reaction to either...I've been lucky!I hate poison ovy and oak!! One summer I had both at the same timeNormally I would go and get a shot to clear it up it a couple days (even though I HATE needles!), but the campus doctors office (I had insurance through the college cause I was a student so that is where I went to the doctor at) quit giving the shots (they went back to the shots later on because they realized it was stupid to not) and instead perscribed prednisone a steroid. I had poison ivy and oak for almost 3 months, because I kept getting into it.( My husband which was my boyfriend at the time worked in the oil field and was clearing trees that summer and I found out I was getting it from handling his clothes...) I gained alot of weight from taking the steroids for almost 3 months, and it took me a bit to lose it. I never weighed anymore than 115 pounds and I weighed 130 some pounds before I stopped taking it. The part that made me the maddest was I exercised everyday and walked about 2 and a half miles a day Monday through Friday, and I was a poor college student that did not eat much! Lol I finally got mad one day and bleached all of the ivy and oak and it went away. I never took steroid medication again! Lol
A summer or two ago I had poison oak and chiggers at the same time....I cried....lol
Wow! That is a big snake! Beautiful though! He reminds me of the huge black snake I had living near my coup a couple summers ago that I named Black Daddy! Lol Black Daddy was close to 6ft long, and he was eating 3 to 4 eggs a day. I knew something was stealing eggs, and I walked into the coup and there was this huge snake curled all around the floor a hair from my feet. Of course at first I jumped, because I never expected something so big! Lol He was beautiful!I have some beautiful cottonmouth water moccasins in the beaver ponds below my lake. I got into poison ivy one time as a kid. Went home and took a bath. Somehow, the bath made it spread to EVERYWHERE! And when I say everywhere, just use your imagination.I hate poison ovy and oak!! I swear, my brother could just look at it and break out!I got into poison ivy one time as a kid. Went home and took a bath. Somehow, the bath made it spread to EVERYWHERE! And when I say everywhere, just use your imagination.
Hot water makes it spread! Lol You want to use cool water and soap if you ever get into it. I had chiggers all over my .... and my underwear line the first time I ever got into chiggers, because I was painting the house in a bikini and did not know they were living in or around a lilac bush behind the house. They are gone now from the lilac bush now, but they were bad when we first bought our house!I got into poison ivy one time as a kid. Went home and took a bath. A few years ago I cut down a dead dogwood killed by poison ivy. I thought it was dormant in the winter but I looked worse than this guy the next day. Had to get shots but it was a lot of fun for everybody.... but meI hate poison ovy and oak!!
