Here's a pretty good article I read last month that speaks to that. Basically, the industry is missing a vast market with the masculine branding of vape products. Women are more likely to take up vaping than men but aren't targeted in product design or advertising.

That's a great article....not to point any fingers, but it seems sooo many mods are made in black, silver and dark colors...more masculine. Women like to accessorize more, we like to match things. We worry as much about how it LOOKS, as well as how it works. I understand that creating mods in every single color can become very expensive, but I'd like to see more variety. When I started vaping, I wanted something sparkly and shiny and not so utilitarian looking. Sure, I've made tons of charms and custom painted a few...but whe you look online, and see a tiny eGo that's been blinged out for $250-300 ...that's nuts to me. And why do women pay that? Because they want it to look good, I think women look at their mod as an extension of themselves. And speaking for myself....the companies who show overly made up young models with inflated lips blowing a cloud as the first thing you see on their web page get no business from me. Maybe I'm just older and that doesn't appeal to me...lol...I just don't think companies need that to spotlight their products. I want products that keep me away from cigarettes, I can get lipgloss at CVS. That's one thing I admire about Apollo, their website lists a product, what it is, what it does. Period. Give me what I need, tell me how it works, and make it look good. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a purple fan (OK, maybe a little obsessive) about it...and that will draw me to certain products. My lovely red Reliant has just enough shine and shimmer to grab me...lol...and hold my attention. I was looking at another website to look up a mod a friend of mine was talking about. Guess what?? Great mod, but comes in black, dark grey, and dark blue. No reds, no pinks, no purples...just dark, darker and darkest. We NEED variety!!! We are women, isn't it our prerogative to change our mods like we change our minds (or our shoes)??? Rant over...lol...back to our regularly scheduled postings now....
