Here in PRC the "It's for the children" is the call of the truly desperate politician. When their lies do not convince people...they start with the it's for the children crap. If you are "in the know" then you realize "it's for the children" = "Oh crap! These e-cigs may be saving tens of thousands of lives, but we don't give a rat's tail if these tens of thousands die horrible deaths from smoking...we need the money from tobacco sales!"

I read an article yesterday that claimed that kids vaping was the gateway for kids to start smoking analogs! BS!
The gubberment is losing money from tobacco sales. They want to blame the people who vape.

If the legislature of PRC would pay more attention to the kids education, instead of what a kid might do, they would be a lot better off.
Kids are gonna do what they want no matter what.

Yeah...like you use a pretty color, jewels or anything like that and "This company could not be more obviously marketing to children." I guess it's just part of being located here in PRC. (People's Republic of California)

It doesn't have anything to do with kids. It has only to do with money.

It's all about money! Everything in Cali is about money, and how much they are losing. Big tobacco paid out to many states. Cali just spent all the money already, with the expectation that people would continue to smoke, too many people are giving up analogs and the government is freaking out.

There's no legislature exempt from that when the money starts flying around.

Pay close attention to who you vote for. Reward those legislators who bravely dare listen to their constituents (and science). Support them. Actively campaign AGAINST those who do not..

The state government has to pay for the free healthcare and subsidized college educations for the illegal immigrants somehow.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. It's hard to find one that does listen to constituents. Seems re-election doesn't even matter with big payoffs they can realize while there.

To be honest, people have said for years that MJ is a gateway drug, so far I haven't found any other drug I wanna do since partaking in MJ.
Now I get my nicotine, the other drug, in a safer delivery system than an analog.
So I'm calling BS on the gateway theory!

It's a vicious cycle. Smokers are an easy minority for them to pick on. They raise the sin taxes on tobacco because they say that smokers require more money for health care. Then they say that because less people are smoking, tobacco tax revenues are down so they need to raise it.

Remember that old, old movie Rfr Madness, propaganda put out so long ago? I equate all this anti e-cig stuff to that. Really thought we'd come further than that by now.

That just infuriates me to no end. It's not like you put mouse ears on it. I can't figure out how anything bright or *GASP* pink automatically defaults to marketing to kids. Can't adults like colors, too?

the problem is so many do get re-elected...they keep feeding the masses lies and the masses turn a blind eye...they get the best of both worlds and then people sit around wondering what happened...I used to be one of the masses then I started paying attention to things like the real science and common sense...but the absence of common sense is a whole different rant

the gateway argument is just another way of keeping people distracted from the truth (in my almost humble opinion!) The partaking of MJ NEVER caused me to want to do anything harder or heavier. And now to say that vaping is a gateway to analogs? its just nonsense...vaping is showing to be just the opposite...but it all goes back to BT and the almighty $$$
