I used to work at an Urgent Care Center where they paid triple time for holidays so we fought over who got to work them. Triple our hourly pay times twelve was a huge chunk of change to take home for one day. Never, ever was there a shortage of holiday workers. Only four holidays counted... Christmas, New Years Day, Easter and Thanksgiving. It was kind of weird that it sucked to be home on the holidays then.

Getting triple time would almost be worth the people he has to deal with. I swear holidays are the days when tech support get the most rude, arrogant, belligerent people on the phone. I remember one person that called at like 6pm on Christmas Eve and cussed my hubby out for like 30 minutes because he couldn't send a tech out in the middle of the afternoon to fix their internet so they would have internet on Christmas Day. And Thanksgiving is football day! So everyone is mad if they have to spend time with their family instead of watching the games.

I'll be flying down to Orlando tomorrow afternoon and then have classes every day from Monday to Thursday. Probably won't be on much either. Still trying to figure out which mods, tanks and juices to bring with me to tide me over until I get home.
There's a lot of nice vape shops in Orlando if you run out. :p

And you always have to follow the pc, scripted dialog the whole time you're being cussed out!

"Yes ma'am" .... "Is there anything else I can help you with?",... "It was a pleasure to be of assistance Mrs. Dookie Mouth..." oops ... "Have a wonderful day"

My sympathies to your husband. I couldn't do it for more than a day. :-x

Haha, his actually doesn't have that much of a script. They're just supposed to get through the calls in a certain amount of time while hitting all of the points. I still don't know how he does it. I used to work for that company and couldn't handle it, lol.

I'll probably search them out Saturday night. Or Sunday.
Don't know how close you're going to be to International Drive, but I remember seeing like 5+ vape shops on that little strip when I was there a few months ago, lol. Vape 'N Brew is on I-Drive, too. Have a drink and a vape.

Katzwhiskers, while I only spent 16 months there, and I wasn't on the mainland, alaska holds a special place in my heart. I want to go back to the island one time to close a circle, but I do love that state.

Brrrr, Alaska cooooold. After spending 4 months stationed in Greenland about 300 miles north of the arctic circle I no likey icy. My wife either, she left Wisconsin with a snow shovel strapped to the roof of her car and drove south until someone asked her "Hey what's that thing on the roof of your car?". "I have arrived!", she thought. I met her there in San Antonio a few months later. The rest is history, been married to that wonderful woman for 25yrs now.:wub:

I have no idea why I stayed in Pa all my life...I detest the cold with a passion!! I don't like the snow and ice and the cold and windy days. It's all beautiful to look at and white Christmases are nice but I think I'd rather see oranges hanging on my Christmas tree. I know Alaska is beautiful but my choice would be Hawaii!! I should have moved to Ga when my daughter did but my youngest son was still in college at Pitt and little did I know that he would end up living in pittsburgh so he never did come home but his plans were originally to move to Ga also so I figured I would move when he was ready.

That's one of the great mysteries down here in GA. How and why do all those people live up there? Well now I know why one of them lives up there. :)

Snow is nice..... to visit. Not so nice when you have to battle it on a day-to-day basis. I guess it's alright any other season but winter will always come around. Then, you pay your dues.

I don't even like winter around here. It could disappear and I wouldn't ask any questions.
