It's all about the activity. I haven't gotten chunky yet, knock on wood. BUT... there's a whole lot less I can eat now that I'm not running around working a 12 hour shift on my feet 95% of the time. I LOVE food too. We just got a new Planet Fitness here, $10.00 a month- unlimited use of the gym and I'm seriously thinking of joining just so I can eat more food.

I love all the wrong kinds of food ...carbs are my downfall ...I would pick buttered noodles over something sweet any time.hmmm...wonder why there are no carb juices ...buttered bow tie juice ...lol

It cut out two hours of driving time to and from work......so that time can be used to do more work. Ahhh....the joys of being salaried. It just makes it way too easy for me to just sit at my desk and keep working, so I definitely put in way more hours than if I were working from the office. It originally started a couple of years ago of working from home one day a week, then went to working three days a week. Finally last year I started just going into the office one day a week and then they took my cubicle away so they could put someone in there who was working in the office every day.
My son can do that ...he's gradually staying home more and more ..he says most of his colleagues only come in once a week for the mandatory meeting. My son has 4 kids so I don't think he'll do it everyday ...lol

Cabbage needs to be cooked with bacon and you need some hoecake cornbread to got wif it, not noodles lol. They use noodles to make the cabbage go farther lol

I spent 18 months there in tech school as part of a USAF/USN exchange program. The same Electronics and Advanced Electronics courses your Navy recruits took before entering into nuke school. 368 USAF recruits went to GLNTC while 368 NAVY recruits went to Keesler AFB in MS for Electronics training. It was colder than a witch's tit there in Chicago with the wind whipping across the frozen lake.

That base had THE WORST food I've ever eaten to date. Yuck! I remember watching my pancake syrup crystallize before my eyes while walking from the chow line to my table.

Funny, I forgot about it being called beep. Of course I've forgotten just about everything I learned there, except the cold, the chow and 3/2 beer.
I went to Millington to aviation electricians school, broke my finger, ended up being sent to New Orleans as a storekeeper because of the break. Wasn't bad, I got to drive a big yellow truck and deliver parts lol
