So I noticed there are a few ejuice DIYers here. Hopefully one or more of you diy nets. If so, approx how much nic is in the extract by volume. I just started extracting tobaccos and my vape seems higher in nic. Is it just my imagination?
It's probably not your imagination. The human body is usually pretty good at giving signals when things are different and you'd probably notice right away an increase in nic. It would be good to get some numbers on that.

Edit: Can't you get nicotine test kits or something? I can see myself doing nets in the future if nicotine liquid is banned.

Got some initial info from Doc on nic levels in tobacco extracts. Turns out there's fairly insignificant amounts of nic in our pg or vg extracts. When you consider that we usually add only 10-20% flavor (extract in this case) to our nic base the nic from the extract becomes even more diluted.

@Panorama911 is going to receive additional data soon, with real numbers from a more accurate test assay.

How do you do your extractions? Are you soaking the tobacco in pg?

Good morning everyone ...looks like it's going to be a nice day! I never vaped a net - is it significantly different than reg juice?

Yes, way different than artificially replicated tobacco ejuice. The upside is nets taste very close to smoking the tobaccos they are extracted from, less the ash taste. Yum yum, however there is a significant downside, they gunk up coils and start tasting burning very quickly. Usually within 20ml of vaping you need to change wicking or wickheads so they are typically used with rbas of some sort.

Thank you ...will the net gunk up the coils as bad if it is not all VG say maybe 50/50. Another question I'm wondering is it bad for you like closer to a cigarette or just the same as regular ejuice?

They do tend to "gunk" up faster, that said, it has been only a couple days shorter on lifespan in my experience. I can deal with 2 days less (using a 1.8 ohm Nautilus BVC). I will mention that the 1.2 ohm GS Air coils handle the NET's very well in fact. I have one I have been hitting regularly for 3.5 weeks now, so far still going strong.

I use 70/30 pg/vg

That is an excellent question! It all depends on the stock tobacco used for extraction. Most providers do not use chemically treated leaf or scraps. But if a DIY is extracting from a retail tobacco cigarette let say, the chances for the chemicals added could leach out. But for all intents and purpose, the extracts and liquids are merely the oils in tobacco which give the flavor.

I have used strictly NET's for almost 5 years and have had no issues that can be attributed to the use of NET's. This is not to say that an issue could come around in time, but I will take the risk of my flavoring to come from a natural tobacco versus chemical induced flavorings any day! :)

DOC... Where are you??????.
Sitting in my Lazyboy!........I have been consumed with work and a Mom who is 89 and acting 4.....I do not intend that as being mean, just she is at that stage in life where behavior reverses. I am just doing my best at keeping her safe and as sane as possible in her final years.

Thanks for inquiring where I am!:nun:

That's interesting. I heard mention of nets before but never really looked into them. I appreciate the time you took to explain it. I've really got to try it as I am always open to trying something new and I like variety just never realized they were that different from regular juice.
