Oh, no.....what happened ....and are you all patched up now?

I'm all stitched up. Only 6 stitches to reattach a nickel sized skin flap. I asked the doc why only 6 and why spaced so far apart. He said closely spaced stitches are old school and cause more scarring and perm numbness cuz everywhere you stitch you cause blood vessel and nerve damage. Sounds good, we'll see.

Would have sent pics but it's still eeking me out a little....lol

We had one doctor at the er who was a master stitcher. He took great pride in his work and spent a lot of time sewing up wounds. The facial lacerations would keep us there forever, lol. His talent was suturing without leaving scars.

Whenever children came with lacerations we allowed the moms to sit at the bedside and watch. But the fathers, no way! The most we'd let them do was sit about ten feet away... in a wheelchair! Even from that distance quite a few would faint but then we already had them in a chair to transport them out, lol. Men can't take that kind of stuff. :D

Hope you're home now and all wrapped up nicely. Be careful. :)

We had one in our ER, too... Was a thing of beauty to assist with him!

Added bonus when you need stitches: They'll give you the tools if you ask for them; and why not?, we pay for them and they throw them out if we don't take them.

Lmaoooo...I used to have a whole box of those...the tiny scissors are great for snipping wire.

We autoclave them and use them again. We don't charge for them though. Never had anyone ask for them, lol. I love to have the larger hemostats for counter weight when I wrap coils. And those scissors... the best for trimming wick. Those syringes I have are newborn PEG tube feeding syringes. They work a lot better for me for mixing VG. I just remove the plunger, pour in the VG. No need to draw it up. The little caps on the end are great for that.

Yep, the hospital is a great place for vape tools. :D
