you've got a good point lol, I might be able to get him to see reason!

what did you get

Post office lost mine today...but the UPS guy found it, so it was sitting here waiting on me when I got home from the POST OFFICE. Apparently the carrier dropped it in someones yard and brought it to the house
What! I'm glad UPS saved the day! :)

Just got my ss430 28 gauge wire in, immediately built some coils......reliant works great on ss wire

The great thing about ss, if I forget and put it on a non TC mod, no biggie, works fine that way also [emoji14]

That's awesome! I need to order some SS coils. I need to order a lot of things, actually! :)

You won't have to worry about it as much on the xcube, since it has adjustable tcr, but I definitely recommend 430 stainless over the other grades......it has a higher tcr curve ;)

I'm on 13 @450. But I wick with rayon, which has a higher scorch point then cotton :)

I've been using rayon for over a year ;)

*edit*
Checked my records. Strictly rayon since 6/20/2014, I haven't vaped cotton at all since.

I switch back and forth between rayon and cotton, although the Japanese organic cotton pads are a bit easier to deal with since they are compressed into clean, neat sheets. The odd thing that I have found is that with my TC tanks, my sweet spot varies between 450 and 500 degrees, however with my RDA, I have to vape it at around 350 degrees. If I try to set my RDA at the same temp as my tanks, it starts to taste a bit burnt.

Definitely an issue there. You should not get any burnt hit at anything below 420, even with cotton....you are probably getting a hot spot on your coil, so that spot is exceeding your set temp.

I usually set my.temp at 600 and fire prior to wicking. This will sometimes show if you have a hot leg/hot spot in the coil.

Speaking of coil....this is what I've been doing .......

Dual Ti Clapton, 24/32 gauge, ohms at .08.....something you just can't do with Ni wire ;)

It's all purple because I was playing with the hue in the editing software, and thought Mary Jo would like it [emoji14]

Not burnt like a dry hit where the cotton starts to scorch and the vape burns your throat, but more like the juice on the coil itself is overcooked where the flavor changes and starts to taste funny. When I am cleaning the coils, I'm pulsing it at 600 degrees so the coil just starts to glow and after the caramelized juice is cleaned off the coil, it glows as it should from the center of the coil out.
