We will definitely have a big xmas dinner usually about 30 people including kids. It is my turn this year as my brother and I take turns but depending how things go ..he and his wife or my nieces will take over. Luckily my bro and I are really close and both of us enjoy the big family dinners on holidays! Maybe you are right for thanksgiving and me and hubby will just have a Cornish hen by ourselves ..lol. Thank you for all the thoughts and hugs!
Send everyone here...lmaoooo...I'll feed everyone! With Kidlet off in Caliornia, it's just us and the hounds.

That's like when I first got married. It was just the two of us and the dog. Our first Thanksgiving together, I cooked a turkey....the smallest turkey I could find.....and it was still too much food. Too much to the point where even the dog refused to eat any more turkey.

We do something different every year for thanksgiving. Last year we had spaghetti and the year before that we grilled hamburgers lol. Sometimes at Christmas, we do chicken and dumplings. But it's just us three and has been for 11 years :)

Last Thanksgiving we went to my sister's. It was a little mini family reunion as my two other sisters came as well. My sister made the turkey and I made a ham and also made handmade mashed red potatoes with truffle oil. For Christmas I made a prime rib.

Brings back memories of a Thanksgiving a few years back up in Alaska.
**Tall tale alert**
My best buddy ( a WW2 vet) needed a knee replacement at the VA Hospital in Anchorage..7 hour drive in the dead of Winter! When we got to his late sister's place, no one was home...He said he would just get in like he always does...and that all I had to do was shimmy myself up to the second floor balcony...and that the sliding door was probably unlocked  ...scheesh!!
Then , on the day of the surgery, they wouldn't let his rig on the base ...cracked windshield, bald tires, no muffler..hmmm) so we ended up taking a taxi in.
After he got out of surgery, I settled myself in for the night in the recliner in his hospital room (like I always do with my fam and friends) ..but then graveyard shift came on and becuz i wasn't "family".. the hard core nurse threw me out. ( and no, I couldn't lie )
Course I was a PITA, and didn't have cab fare, so VA picked up the taxi tab and dropped me off back at his sister's place. (This time I had a key!;)) A day or 2 later...and another taxi trip back to the base to pick him up.
I told him I didn't think his sister liked me sleepin in her room...I'd been sleepin with the light on for 2 days:rolleyes: ...and he just LAUGHED!!:lol: I asked if he would swap me rooms and he said "No way. His sister never liked for anybody to sleep in her room." Thanks, John :p
The 2 of us ended up having 2 Hungry Man Turkey Dinners for Thanksgiving!
And it's still one of my best Thanksgivings to date:)

@USMCotaku I'm certain now that the Cloupor Mini+ does not handle TC with titanium coils. TC works fine with nickel, but once you put a titanium coil on, it acts as if you're not using TC at all. I did another build on the Tugboat using Ti coils and the dry cotton burst into flames. Without the wick, the Ti coils heated up until it glowed...and rather quickly. I did a different dual Ti coil build on my Velocity RDA and that build was working great on the Sigelei 75 (running it at 100 degrees lower since the Sigelei 75 is calibrated only for Ni) and also the DNA200. As soon as I put it on the Cloupor, once the wick started to dry, it would burst into flames. Remove the wick and dry fire the coils it would quickly heat up to glowing red. Dry firing a Ni coil does not allow the coil to heat up to glowing because a "Dry Coil" message pops up on the screen and stops powering the coil. This message never appears when using Ti coils.
Doesn't it have a dedicated ti mode?

@jseah
When in temp mode, at the bottom right of the display will be a little letter......N, for ni200...T, for Ti

It does have a dedicated Ti mode. When you hit the + and - buttons to lock in the resistance, if you hold the buttons in it will toggle between Ni and Ti mode. I was in Ti mode when it burst into flames and made the coils glow like candles. I also tried it in Ni mode and it was the same. I have no idea what's going on and can't figure out why it is doing this with Ti wire. The same Ti build works fine with every other TC mod that I have.

First I would need to get some kanthal wire. Then I would need to get a coiling jig. I had one, but then I got frustrated with winding coils so I had PIF'ed it to Utsuru.
Where is our favorite lurker these days? I haven't seen him in forever and I miss him!!

Hmmm, no clue. Maybe I'll win one and be able to play with it to see [emoji14]

have signal for two seconds so I thought Id check to see if we had a winner...
My entire Comcast was out today. It went down at around 1 am so I went to bed but woke up to no phone or TV, either! Apparently it was county wide. The grocery store couldn't even take debit cards! I am not a fan of no wifi signal. grrrr. :D
