Freak Accident: One of our Shihtzus "Pepper Bear" got her collar tangled in the foot rest lever of my wifes' recliner a few hours ago. She was choking really bad by the time I got her freed. Now her left eye is completely bloodshot. I hope she doesn't lose her vision in her eye. My wife feels terrible because she moved the lever before realizing Pepper was attached to it. :(

Poor baby :( I hope she is ok. I am sorry to hear that happened. Tell your wife that freak accidents happen and she cannot blame herself.

I told her it wasn't her fault, how could she have known? She's still beating herself up about it. I probably would too. We just love our babies.

I totally agree with you that BT is paying them off and I am so bummed. As I read the letter that I got, I was super timpressed until I got to the "however". I did watch the video and it made me sick!! The worst part is that those senators believe what they are saying and would not even be up for a debate ...they are convinced. There was hardly anything said about helping people quit smoking. I remember one senator saying nicotine combined with tobacco kills ...so where is the tobacco in e cigs. Marina, I could go on and on but I get so riled up....lol...I missed the nicotine toothpicks ..that was a new one. One more thing and I will shut up today .... I never heard the term "replacement smokers" ...that the tobacco companies are looking for!!!! Most people do dye of cancer or heart attacks but they are not all smokers ..what hogwash!!!
I know... I get riled up too, lol. And then I get a big, fat headache 'cause I'm pretty much powerless to do anything about it. Ha... by the people, for the people, yeah right. I had to quit watching that video about five minutes in when Merkley called e-cigs "killer products". I finished watching later when I calmed down a bit. The thing is... they know e-cigs aren't made by BT, they are using the bad rep of BT to further the agenda of killing off e-cigs FOR the tobacco companies. These aren't stupid people by any stretch of the imagination. They're at least as educated as you and I. No way do I think they are ignorant to what e-cigs are. Disruptive. Money, money, money. Bottom line. And playing the American public the way they are for monetary reasons... aaaarghhhhh!! Makes me sick.

Replacement smokers is a very real thing in BT business. They have to replace those that die with new smokers... young, fresh kids that will become the old, dying smokers. But they have to hook them first. Thing is, e-cigs won't do that. And BT and legislators know this so, they have to get rid of this life saving technology in order to save BT and tax revenue. All at the expense of the children they fraudulently claim to care about.

Now, I think I'll go have a nice glass of ice cold sweet tea and a couple of Advil.

Awww... your wife is probably in worse shape than little Pepper Bear. At the time it happened she was probably wondering what the heck was going on but now knows it was not intentional. I think the eye will be alright. The redness is broken capillaries from the pressure of choking but will reabsorb and go away. Just keep an eye on it for any signs of swelling and tenderness.

It's a ruse.. don't buy into that.

Think about who is going to be able to pay the horribly high fines to pass new guidelines...BT will be able to, they will be the only legal ecigs left. they figure they will have the market cornered....

Why would they want to further a market that will put an end to cigarettes? I believe they would be the ones who could do that but no, I think they'll just let them die and go away and continue to kill people with tobacco. That's where they've always made money and that's where they want to continue making money. They have all the ability now to be a large e-cig producer like the others we have but haven't ventured there. I don't think they want any part of it or want any one else involved with it either.

Think of how many smokers have quit spending money on cigarettes and pay for vaping? How does BT keep their money rolling in...they corner the ecigarette market after its banned. BT has the money to pay for the testing that is going to put all the local B&M's out of business. The Big Three tobacco companies are already producing their own ecigs. They don't care about where they money is coming from, be it a pack of cigarettes or a pack of ecigarette cartridges....they will be the only ones to afford to produce a product and afford to pay for testing according to new regulations.

I will say this, if there comes a day when I have no way of vaping I will NEVER smoke cigarettes again! NEVER! I will never touch another cigarette. Cigarettes are nothing like vaping, and if I cannot vape then I cannot get what I am looking for from a cancer stick. :)

They're not going to make the money off those e-cig cartridges. Vaping never took off until vapers devised a better way to vape and BT sure as hell isn't going to start selling tanks, mods and e liquid. That stuff is too easily made by common folk and too disruptive to their cash cow that is tobacco cigarettes.

Maybe not mods, because we'll all still have gear. But juice, yes. When vaping is banned, where do you think people trying to quit are going to turn??? Not cigarettes...Blu, Vuse...what's going to be legal. And BT will still be making money and paying huge playoffs to Congress.

Same here. At this point, I think if I couldn't vape, I could go without going back to smoking.

I think people will continue on like always... smoking cigarettes. Those cigalikes never did it before. Why would they be big sellers now?

I'd make my own nets before I'd buy BT juices. And so would too many others.
