Ugh, well don't let it go on too long. A tooth infection can lead to a whole lot of VERY bad things!! Can you go to one of those minute clinics and get an antibiotic at least?
I don't have the money to go right now. It'll have to wait. I'll be ok in a couple days or dead matters not to me lol

It matters to ME, ya nut!!! I wish you could get an antibiotic. Ima be very worried about you until you get better!!
So sorry to hear ..believe me I know what tooth pane is ....had a root canal last week and a cap this week. Motrin works the best for me for the thumping ....ice will probably keep the swelling down ....and believe it or not whiskey, tequila like someone mentioned really does help ...I put it in my mouth and swish it around ...I don't care for whiskey so I spit it out but the whiskey does numb it.
I got dry socket in 3 of my sites with wisdom teeth extraction and all they would give me is a high-powered pain reliever. After 6 weeks of all day, all night intense pain (I was even dreaming about the pain!) I got desperate and did exactly what you said here: salt water rinse with a peroxide chaser and it FINALLY resolved. I'm pretty sure the dude who did the extraction got his dental degree from a Cracker Jack box. It was awful.
Just call the dentist ..he will call in a script for penicillin and by the second day the pain is gone.....and it's cheap ...somewhere around $5 is all.
You can also ask for an aid form in the ER. I found out about that when Ashleigh got really sick as a baby and she needed a bunch of radiographs. We had no insurance and my husband was only working 1 job at the time and they wrote the entire bill off.

But that's what the rest of us are for; to be there for our sick and injured family members.

Back then I had NO degree, but apparently I had more common sense than that dentist did! It was when Aleve was being trialed by some doctors and a neighbor was one of the people they were testing it on. They were 800 mg horse tablets but she gave me some and I downed 2 of them and about 20 minutes later I felt the pain disappear. It was the first time in 6 weeks I was not in pain. I ran around the courtyard yelling "Hallelujah!!" Lucky for me my neighbors were my friends or they would have called the men with the hug-me jackets, lol. Once the pain was gone I came up with the idea of salt water gargles and peroxide.
