Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Everything went fine and according to my step mom he is sore but medicated and already wanting to go home.

Only bad thing that happened was that post surgery the doctor called my step mom instead of coming to talk to her face to face... She was perturbed to say the least...but I figure if that was the worst thing then its a good day all around..

I've yet to meet a doctor that I like. I guess it just comes with the profession, professional detachment and all... Good to hear everything went well, though.
