I was on a menthol kick last week, seemed to head off an oncoming cold.

It really does seem to help, if nothing else it's soothing.

Menthol cigarettes made me gag, but I can handle a touch of menthol when I have a sore throat.

I thought I was too - my voice went away on Saturday, scratchy throat and sunday I woke up fine but hubby is down with a cold....its this crazy weather - 0 degrees one day and 55 the next.
