Zicam is zinc and c which work together to kickstart your immune system, great stuff

Last stinkie 10/15/2013
When I used to have a bad cold with congestion, the Zicam swabs were the only things that would clear my sinuses, that is until the FDA banned them. Apparently prolonged use of the zinc swabs would result in a permanent loss of smell.

That's what they say, not always permanent but even sometimes is dangerous.

Good morning everyone.

We are okay, luckily the tornado passed by my neighborhood. There were about 70 homes damaged nearby though, miraculously no one was killed here in Pensacola.

We were directly in the path and I could see it coming when lightning would strike, I finally came inside to console my wife who was in the bathroom in the tub. She hyperventilated till she passed out and I held her until she recovered, she is fine today though.
Yikes!!!! I love big weather but that's way too big! Your poor wife. She's lucky you were there to be strong for her. I am so glad you guys didn't get hit.

I have been through about six or seven, actually inside one when I was about twelve. We were under a bridge and it passed right over the top of us. It was dropping baseball sized hail.

My aunt was killed in a tornado., she was stuck outside with her baby and had to climb in between two large roots of a tree with her back facing outward to protect the baby. She was killed by flying debris but my cousin survived.

I take them very seriously but at the same time I know there is nothing you can do, it either will or will not hit. Panicking does nothing to help, my wife is freaky about severe weather. Lucky we haven't had a hurricane since moving here, she wouldn't be able to handle it.
That is so sad about your aunt. It's incredible that she was able to protect your baby cousin. There is just nothing stronger than a mother's love, I tell you.

That's the same one I have. Love the Star Wars look. Well, good to know they're sturdy, even if you did have to break two arms to test it out. Hope they've healed okay. My son broke both his arms once. He was 15 and wouldn't let anyone do anything for him while they were in casts. I felt so sorry for him.
Wow, Marina! Both arms in casts at the same time? That must have been completely miserable. :(

LOL

You know how you put the balls at half court and each team lines up on opposing walls, whistle blows and you run out and try to grab a ball. Well I ran out and dove for one, another guy jumped and dove, he came down on my outstretched hand bending it all the way back against the top of my forearm and snapping it in the process.

What's really messed up is I broke my other arm by bending my hand all the way back also, jumping high on trampoline and the rebound caused one of my legs to buckle and kicked the other leg out (tripped myself), went up for the last time face down horizontally, arm went between mattress and spring pad with hand once again getting bent backward. I got really lucky my arm broke the momentum else I would have face planted the outer support.
There's nothing lucky about any of that! I am sitting here cringing as I read! I knew there was a very good reason I was a book nerd in school. :D

Any other X Files fans in here? I just finished the new little half season teaser Fox brought back.
OMG I am dying!!! How RUDE to make us wait for more!! The second to the last episode was EPIC, though. I saved it on my DVR and I have already watched it twice, lol. I laughed sooo hard. :D

I hope so. If not, that was a horrible cliff hanger. I just hope they're not trying to set up some kind of replacements with those two new agents they brought in.
I have a feeling they will be working together more. They can't replace Skully and Mulder but I love that there are now younger, less jaded versions of them as well. And there's still that giant unanswered question that needs answering, so hopefully that will also come into play with a new season. I think it's great how they were able to stick with the part scary/part hilarious theme of the originals, but made it even better. So far, anyway.
