Best. News. EVER!!!! It really is hard on coils, and just a little too sweet for me, so a lighter version would be perfection, I think. What about the Viva Las Nanas? It is getting redesigned, too? It's my favorite and I would LOVE to have it (and Air Mail, obviously!!!) in a more equipment friendly version.

Viva Las Nanas has been reformulated, it no longer exists as an Fa_Q, but is now Lindbergh "Pan Am". Air Mail has also been adjusted for less coil gunking.

Ahhh, thank you, @Liquid-Chris! I'm excited for all of the changes at Apollo. It's so great to see you expanding and responding to your customers' needs and wants. This is why I am such a big fan! Well, that and because you have such amazing products. :) If Apollo Fangirl was a superhero, I would have my own cape! :D

How about if we say you can only win once every four months? Three months? I would kind like to see the wealth be shared, but sure don't want to see people go away for months (or a year) because they won???????
That sounds fair. I agree that the wealth should be spread around, but I don't want to see anyone leave, either! This is such an awesome thread, and I am hanging around either way. I love the discussions and it's fun to see the winners post about what they got and what their favorites are. :)

That sounds fair :) I have not won yet, but I would not want the others who have won to have to wait a year :) I like seeing others win :) Seeing how happy they get when they win makes me really happy :) This way chances of winners leaving after they win will be less. It is completely up to you guys :) I am happy either way :)

BTW: I got an Apollo reliant today! Woot woot! I absolutely love it!

we are happy with however you run it.....it is still one of the best, most peaceful contest threads around......
and MOST of us won't go away just because we can't win for X amount of time ;)

Okay all you smart people on here... I made a new post about this, but sometimes I think new posts on this forum just get buried before anyone that knows the answer sees them, so I'm going to ask this here.

So I went to my local B&M today to see if they had any stainless wire. The guy there gave me some 24awg. I forgot to ask what grade it is, and he followed me out of the store to grab something out of his truck. I asked him in the parking lot and he said "surgical grade." I took a deep breath and asked him was it 304, 316, 316L...? He said he's pretty sure it's 316L and re-emphasized that it's surgical grade. . So I just said thanks and walked away.

Naturally, what he gave me is just short of 1 meter, so I cut 50 centimeters and hooked it up to my multimeter. It reads 2.1 ohms. According to the wire wizard on steam engine, 24awg 317L has a resistivity of 3.95 ohms/meter. Am I safe to assume I have 24awg 317L wire?

It is almost impossible to know for sure that way.....the varying "grades" of SS also vary drastically from vendor to vendor. Best bet is to set your TCR for 316L, try it, and adjust from there.

I'll give that a try in a few. Thanks for the tip.
