Now that's just stupid. Apparently wismec/joye doesn't much care for safety. I kind of knew this since they allow the VTC Mini to do 75W on a single 18650.Looks like any of you that have an RX200 can now do 250 watts...

The device can put out 9v maximum so the range is.
0.1 ohm @ 5v = 250w and 50A
0.32 ohm @ 8.9v = 250w and 28A
Totally unsafe to push any battery over or that close to the edge.

It can only fire up to the maximum voltage, assuming it's the same board that is 9v.
But to get that 9v it has to pull amperage from the batteries, the biggest issue is all batteries are not created equal. Especially when dealing with three in the rx200.
Even if the batteries are 'married' a series device can pull more amperage from one of the batteries, this can cause bad things to happen when pushing batteries hard already. The rx200 is very popular and used by complete novices along with seasoned pros and everyone in between. Some of these people will be running three different kind of batteries or batteries of different age, it's just poor judgement to allow the device to go even higher knowing it is dangerous for some using the device.
And I just don't get it......who in the hell wants to vape at 250w?

I have no idea really, I have a device that can put out way more than I use. I know on large Clapton builds it takes upward of 70+ watts power the massive coils to a decent level, I can't see needing three times that amount of power for anything.
It's a selling point for the my wang is bigger crowd I guess.
I use my RX200 in wattage mode......with a 0.5 ohm SS coil in the Cubis tank.....at a whopping 20 watts.
Assuming the ideal situation, where all three batteries are being drawn equally, that 28 amps (250 watts on a 0.32 ohm coil) would be split between the 3 batteries, so really you are only looking at 9.3333 amps per cell, right?
Unfortunately, you will always have that small subset of people who will want to vape it at 250 watts.......but as Darwin explained, eventually they will disappear from the gene pool.
Right now on my drippers, I am using dual Clapton builds on all of them and I'm still vaping it at 70 watts. Surprisingly, the most power hungry topper I have is the Freemax Scylla with their ceramic coil rated between 20 and 160 watts. I vape that at 85 watts, which for me is a good compromise between vapor production, flavor, and vapor temperature.
I have broken just two, one was on the FIRST DAY I had it! (luckily it had an all steel tank as well, so I got to use it till I could get a replacememtn). Both of them were on versions of Kayfuns (clones, cause yeah, no way I can afford an authentic one of those
