50
Afternoon everyone. I'm wondering if someone could help me with a question.is 50$ a good price for a sx mini that was working then the next day won't fire ,but still reads and acts like its trying to fire? I haven't bought it but they are 200 new and I'm wondering if warranty would fix it,but I don't know anything about dna warranty. So my question is it worth it?

If you know its fixable I would say yes, but if its not....it would be like throwing $50 away. Just my thought :)

If it doesn't work, then why would you want to buy it? Generally, Chinese manufactured mods only have a 90 day warranty so if it is out of warranty they won't fix it. Also, the SX Mini (you didn't say whether it was the M Class or the ML Class) is not a DNA mod, so the 1 year Evolv warranty would not apply.

Here's a good example. I had purchased a Vaporshark DNA200 back in August. It comes with a six-month warranty. I had given the mod to @USMCotaku and after he had it for a couple of weeks, it stopped working. He contacted Vaporshark, but they said it was out of warranty since it was past the six months since it was purchased. However, because Evolv makes the DNA200 chip and they warranty the chip for one year, they honored the warranty and sent him a replacement (the fact that it was only like 2 weeks after the warranty expired may have also played a part in their decision as well).

So if the issue with the SX Mini is a chip problem, and assuming that it is past the 90 day warranty period (and this doesn't even address the issue whether the manufacturer will consider the warranty transferable or if they will only warranty the original purchaser), if it is not covered, the cost to repair it (also considering the time to ship the mod to China and get it back), it may end up costing you more in the end than just buying a new one.

Very nice explanation of warranty information. I agree with you. I am surprised someone is selling a non working mod for $50. My thing is; if it was a manageable fix I would think the person would fix it themselves.
