Indeed. I believe you said he was a "baker" ;)

Though in all seriousness I can relate. I work with computers all day. Last thing I want to do is troubleshoot the hubs problems with Outlook when I get home, but thems the breaks.

Ha!

Hey, Akatina, just noticed the signature -- nice job on the discipline! Now you can get rolling on that two-for-the-price-of-one-half program and make a crazy happy birthday :D

HAaaaahahaha!! I actually don't plan on getting wild and crazy for the birthday. I'm looking at a two new clearos, a charger to replace the one my husband "put away" (read: there's no telling where it is now), and some juice. I might throw caution to the wind and do a custom recipe juice in celebration though: waffles and bacon. It'll either be amazing or horrific.

Going old-school with a regression to my peasant roots -- a ring of Polish sausage roasted on a bed of sauerkraut, potatos and carrots.

Seems to me that anything with bacon has to be good. If you give it a shot, please let us know how it turned out.

Will do!!! I find people either love sweet combined with savory or they really dislike it. Personally I love it: I dip bacon into maple syrup all the time, and I love sausage biscuits with a schmear of strawberry jam. I've yet to see sausage biscuit ejuice, so I'm going to spring for a custom blend of waffle, maple, madagascar vanilla, and bacon.

100% Polish over here -- think I have Borscht in my bloodstream from the sheer quanta I ate as a kid. Helped my Dad make sausage with a hand-cranked grinder. Dinners that would slow your heart just by smelling. Pierogi stuffed with cheese fried in butter and served with a dollop of sour cream, blini's stuffed with wild berries,..........

Hey Dan, I've been developing a recipe for over 2-years now for Székely Gulyas (Say-ki-ee - sort of how to pronounce it - Goulash)... has everything I think you'd like: pork shoulder, bacon, Hungarian or Polish sausage, lbs of sauerkraut and caraway... mm-mm good - I can post if you'd like. :)

Oh and if you like sausage you've got to check out Joe S. Sausage on Rio Grande - hand-made and phenomenal :)
