I started using them about 2 months ago and their not a bad alternative to cigs, my problem is my batterys are now starting to wear out(having to recharge several times a day) and doesnt seem like I am getting the performance out of them I used to. Is there another kit I should order or just order new batterys or what? I like a nice thick heavy vape. Also I am now refilling my own carts, and cant order blank carts through apollo, so I would like a refillable system. Cheaper the better

I can't help you, but Apollo is the kit I ordered and I am still waiting for it. Okay, it has only been two days but I am impatient. Did they help you quit smoking regular cigarettes?

Also it is good for me to know that when I hit the two month mark with them I will probably need to order new ones or get something else.

I would love to hear your experience with Apollo though. I hope I picked a good kit to start with but am second guessing myself since there are so many brands and companies around.

I love the kit and the customer service. I started smoking the apollo kit the day after it got in. I charged everything the night before (comes partially charged) and then the next morning I used that instead of a analog. I still had STRONG cigarette cravings for about 2 weeks or so, but I was also a heavy smoker for 18 or so years. My personal favorite is the cherry flavor. I found after about 3 weeks I hated the tobacco flavor. My problem may be the fact that I have been refilling the carts and the fluid seems to be a bit thicker than apollos. I wonder if I am overloading the battery

If you like the apollo, no reason not to stay with it. If you're looking at a switch, perhaps check the liberty-flights Riva 510, $30 after taking the discount on their site; the kit comes with 2 750 mAh batteries, LF provides good customer service. If you are content with cartos (I am), pick up Boge 2 ohm 510 cartos; others will chime in with suggestions on ego-t atties, dripping, whatever, but the Boge 2 ohm are quite decent 510 cartos, good warmth, soft tip so easy to fill or clean.

No idea what it is but at least their prices are not a ripoff for parts and carts.

For the 3-piece model, with the female threads on the battery it could be RN4081, Joye 306, L88B which I think is Chinese wholesaler model Trio

If you want a new kit with lots of options, get a 510 or 510 with mega xl batteries (I recommend manual batteries - they are SEALED on the threaded end against death-by-juice-leak. Autos are not sealed.) For the most options get the fat battery model Ego or Riva 510 and that not only has 6-8+ hour battery life but also lets you use all of the harder-hitting power-hungry LR (low resistance) attys and cartos.

Warning though - if Apollo is the L88B, its battery charger is the opposite electrical polarity of models like 510 and RN4081 even though the connection is very similar. So mark your battery cables. Both Apollo and 510 might be able to use the same atomizers and cartos (but not the LR ones - those are for fat battery models only and can fry the delicate electronics in slim batteries)

BTW NoSmokeVA has 510 kits with a nice PCC - big like the Apollo's. I like to use cartomizers with 510 - I need to take the condom off to fit them in that PCC. That PCC accepts standard (2-3 hours) 510 manual or auto batteries.

Riva 510 then, in terms of excellent price point with a widely supported 510 connector fat battery device. Buckets of atty/carto/tip choices, pretty sure things like the ego-t fit if you want to try them (check the LF area in the suppliers section).

$30 for a kit with popular connector and two large capacity batteries is hard to beat. I just bought a new variable voltage kit, like it a lot, but that cost more than 3X as much (gives you something to look forward to later :) ).

The basic $30 kit comes with two batteries, charger, two atomizer, and a bunch of cartridges (I believe empty, though could be wrong). You screw the atomizer onto the battery (after initial cleaning to get rid of primer on them), then slip on a cartidge that holds maybe 1/2ml of juice (if that much); other people skip the cartridge and use a drip tip, just drip 3 - 4 drops at a time on the atomizer.

The cartomizer is a combined cartridge/atomizer in one piece that looks like a cig filter. The boge carto holds about 1 ml of juice. You fill the carto (either through the top or via the condom =method, putting juice in a rubber end cap and pushing the carto into it, then blow through it to clear excess juice and wipe the threads before putting it on the battery.

There are also mega cartos that hold upwards of 2 ml -- a long run time between refills.

I don't know many people who use cartridges long term -- they either use a drip tip, a cartomizer, or one of the new tank mods (things that hold multiple ml of juice).
