First review of a mod so go easy on me.
Overview: I recently purchased the Apollo V-Tube kit from Apollo Electronic Cigarettes. Its a San Francisco based company, and the only reason why I purchased this over the Lava Tube, was the wait times for such a product from Hawaii. Recent Tornado weather in the mid-west/east created a bit of a stir up for ground shipments and I was lucky to get my product in one piece.
Delivery: Everything came safe and sound. I got the Apollo V-Tube kit, 5 pack of Clearomizers, 1 DCT and two 16mg flavours (Mango Orange and RY4 (Canadian tobacco Flavour.)) It was delivered ground, and there was nothing that was broken.
Setup: While I'm a newbie at this, and this is my first real step in a direction where I can enjoy better vaping and save a little bit more; It took me some time to figure out how to set up the Clearomizer. I had to call customer service in which I talked to both Rob and Dave out of the San Francisco store, and they were glad to help me on manipulating the plastic needle into the virgin hole of the Clearomizer.
This might just be me, but I enjoy the Clearomizer more than the DCT, due to the fact that I can't seem to pull any fluid through the DCT. I find myself sucking more than drawing it out, and the vapour production is very poor in my opinion. I might need to ask for assistance on finding myself a better after market tank.
The one problem I found is the button likes to stick on the V-Tube. It might be because of my mammoth thumb, punching it down to draw. I need to learn to finesse the button down lightly, and slowly ease into it. However it is a nifty set up. I think the learning curve for something like this, is about 10 - 20 minutes, but 5 - 10 if you're talking to a professional that deals with the product.
E-Juice: While the RY4 isn't in my favour as it was recommended by Dave over at Apollo Electronic Cigarettes. The Mango Orange is definitely a flavour I can enjoy. It's smooth, and it tastes really good with a glass of tea. Might call Pink Spot tomorrow and see what other flavours I could get recommended on.
Customer Service: Just that, they are awesome over there at Apollo. Always ready to help you in case something goes awry. Dave, Rob. If you're reading this. I loved talking to you guys, no homo.
Overall: I believe this is a great product, while it copies the Lava Tube in some ways, it was nice getting it in a week instead of two or three due to set backs, delivery and distance. Great customer relations is a must, and having someone talk with you instead of at you is a nice change of pace when dealing with products.
9/10 - Apollo Electronic Cigarettes.
