I just tried halo's midnight apple and I just don't get it. It kind of tastes like a nasty cigar. I got it 3 days ago and the papers said to wait 24-48 hours. But now I read that you need to steep it for a month. Could someone just let me know (yes I am a newbie) how do you steep it and how does that make a difference? Thanks. I hear such good things about halo so I got the tobacco sampler. It really kind of tastes like a cleaner or medicine. Again, thanks for your help. I know it must be me.

I don't know that you will enjoy the naturally extracted tobaccos (NETs) for certain, but my hunch, having read your take on the above, is that they might be up your alley and the taste you are searching for. Take a look at the long thread entitled natural tobaccos under the general e liquid discussion page if interested.

As for steeping, I don't know if it will help the Halo juices you have, but definitely worth a try given that you aren't digging them as is. One or two full days with lids and tips off, allowing them to breathe, then store them for a week or two out if direct sunlight, tasting them every few days to observe if they improve and when they peak, would be my advice to you. Steeping may also remove the medicine taste you refer to, as any alcohol used in flavorings can then evaporate.

Steeping often allows more subtle flavors to come to the front, mellows some harsh or disagreeable flavors sometimes, and overall allows the flavors to blend in a more harmonious manner. Like a good chili, stew, or anything with a sauce, gets better after sitting for a bit.

I tried Rawr's Poison eliquid and didn't like it at all. It's one of those real nutty tobaccos. Tastes to me like stale burnt nutty Carmel popcorn. Yuck. If the poison apple tastes the same but with apple I dont think I'll like that either. I'm gonna give vermilion rivers applewood a try. I'd really like to find something like a Shadowfax tasting juice with apple notes. Shadowfax has a nice vanilla tone to it, it's probably my favorite tobacco and personally I think a hint of apple on top of a flavor like Shadowfax would be killer!

Okay, I have to come in here and say that Eden from House of Liquid is definitely the best cystal clear apple and uncomnpromising tobaco that I have tried -- oh, I have tried all the juices in this thread. I am not saying that these other suggestions are wrong, but for me, Eden trumps them all. EDEN 60ml

DAMNIT! I wish I would've put that in the samples I sent to you! I thought you were of the no-fruit man code. That's why I sent...ah, nevermind, you'll see. It's not much, but I hope you enjoy. Even if you don't, at least you will be able to mark 3 juices off your list -- money saved.
