I have just in the last week or so acquired a Woodvil. Great looking mod but with that said im having some issues getting the flavor im used too...I have a SL Reo with a RM2 which has become my Virus delivery device, with great success. I have a .5 duel micro coil set up and it produces flavor galore and i could not be happier. Now the Woodvil i did not want to go below 1ohm and decided to do a single 1 ohm micro coil. It had zero flavor even after adjusting the position of the coil up down over here over there etc etc..i re-wicked several different ways with no luck. As far as juice i had the intentions of this being solely for PBC but i was getting no flavor and it seemed to be muted even in my kayfun (compared to V1) So i switched to Wakonda which is full of flavor no matter what Rba/Rda i used. Still no flavor like zero nota...So tonight i did some research and made several coils (ugly, micro, macro) tried silca, rayon and japanese cotton still nothing. Plenty of vapor with the build i currently have..(8 wraps 1/16 28g coming in at 1ohm) still no flavor. Would it be safe to do a duel coil set up in a RM2 on the Woodvil? other then that im at a loss...any and all suggestions are welcomed and apologies for the wall of text!

Could be vapor tongue. I personally wouldn't go below 1ohm on a woodvil. That's not what they are made for.

I know I'm not the one who sold it to you but I feel bad that Gracie is not living up to your expectations...I was so happy when I found out you had her and now am so sad you aren't getting any flavor.

I have ruled out vapors tongue simply by trying the 4 other mods in my rotation. All are tasting as they should, even the kayfun loaded with the same juice.

Kayfun's i keep around 1.2 single coil. Tugboat, Magma, Patriot and Zenith i keep around .5 duel coils and my other Reo is built at .5 duel micro's in a RM2.

This is off-track, but Katy is ready to dump her Woodville too - there's some residual oil taste she can't get over. Do you think that might have something to do with it?

(I know MKR had something similar?)

Another possible thing - coil positioning... I know I have to build the coils different in different RM2s because the hole never seems to line up in the same place. Have you tried switching out RM2s (if you have more than one REO) to see of it's just the RM2?

Yeah, nothing appears off either. He's getting good vapor so I don't think it's a connection or wiring issue. boltoace, can you try the atty on your Woodville on another mod and see what happens?

Just placed the Woodvil's RM2 on the LP and same issue zero flavor. I have built many many different coils in this atty moved them up down side to side. Tried re-wicking several different ways with different material even. Still no luck, should i drill the air hole out? It is still the stock size i have a simple 28g 1ohm micro wicked with cotton in it at the moment positioned as close to the edge as i can get without it shorting on the cap. What has me baffled is i'am getting tons of vapor just no flavor at all...

Clark I fixed this with coating the inside with polyurethane and it was fine after it set. My reason for selling was I beat rudedog out of a Reo on the classies and when he mentioned it was really a woodville he was after I offered him mine. The RM2 I sold him was new from Rob so I never tried it so that could be it! Also, I really had to let it go due to the size, it was WAY too big for my hand to use comfortably...and the woodville in question is mine originally, aka Gracie.

Can you put another atty on Gracie and see what happens? Might just be the RM2!

When i bought it all i bought was the Mod itself. The RM2 im using i received when i ordered my LP Reo. They sent me the regular RM2 and not the LP one. I contacted Rob and let him know, i also informed him that when i got it the top cap was severally stuck and i scratched it taking it apart. He sent out the LP version the next day so i still had this one and that is what is on top of the Woodvil atm. Sadly i have nothing else that will screw on to the Woodvil because of the catch cup..

Well if the one you're using you bought from Rob definitely contact him!! It could just be a bad RM2. I have one like that I bought from Rob for my Dibi. I would squeeze the squonk bottle as hard as I could with both hands. Juice would ooze everywhere under the atty but I would get very little going into the RM2 itself. After lots of back and forth PMs with Peter he asked if I could try a different atty. Had an Igo-l I had bought for my upcoming Maple and I tried a squonk with the top off and the dang juice squirted almost to the ceiling

From what i can tell, it's the RM2 that is giving me issues as i get tons of vapor just zero flavor? Beings i have this RM2 because a simple mix up i can not expect to exchange it with Rob the one i actually paid for has worked flawlessly on top of my LP. Guess i will have to save up for the next few weeks and grab another atty for the Woodvil, maybe even send it in to have the sub-ohm kit installed. With no SR's on the horzion i may be able to save enough for a BF in about a month!
