I'm going to put in my vote for an evic. I have been using mine daily for about the last 6 months, and it is fantastic. It has more adjustments than anything else out there in the price range, and while it will only go to 5v and 11 amps (most vv/vw mods do 6 and 15), that should be plenty for all but the heaviest vapers. If you want a smaller more pocket sized device, you can get an 18350 battery and tube for about $20 and make it very small. If you want a telescoping mod, there are a couple options for that too, but they do drive the price up quite a bit.

I have dropped mine a few times, and it is much more durable than I thought it would be based on all the problems people have had with it. To be fair, most of the problems have been the head separating, however the latest revision has a couple of screws in it to help with that problem. There are two caveats that I can make, first is that if you are hard on your devices, and second if you are a very heavy vaper, then the evic may not be right for you.

I have to admit, as much as I love my evic, I am also looking at something different for my next one, I am thinking the Zmax or the VTR would be good to supplement my evic, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

So, after all of your feedback, I decided that for $40 from a USA vendor (just quicker shipping for me than China), the MVP 2 was the right call. Thanks everyone for the feedback!
