Ahh, Been there, chucked the Aqua off the back porch out of frustration, found it two days later, and continued. I finally found the solution, and volume control hit the nail on the head for the most part.
Here's my process ( I use silica):
step 1.. build coils to taste. - check ohms
step 2, thread wick into coils.
step 3, wet wick
step 4, tuck wick down the channels (but not out)
step 5, attach chimney
step 6, attach tank cylinder
step 7, attach top and drip tip. - check ohms
step 8, make sure drip tip (juice control) and tank (airflow control) are fully closed.
step 9, Turn whole assembly upsidown. hold drip tip area and tank with one hand, and unscrew the base.... 510 connector up... to reveal inside of chimney
step 10, fill juice along outer wall between chimney and outer walls. Be carefull not to push chimney down, only thing holding it together is the o-rings.
step 11, always keeping it upsidown, replace coils/base carefull not to crossthread.
step 12, once everything is tightened, confirm juice controll is fully closed, and open ONLY the airflow controller open to my liking.. THEN I flip it back upright.
step 13, check ohms, if all is ok, start to vape. If it gets a bit dry, open up the juice channel slightly.
If I don't keep it upsidown, it will gurgle continuously. It was real frustrating, but once you get the routine down, it's quite simple. I'd show you pics, but right now, I'm vaping from it and It's full. I might post some tomorrow as well. Heck, I might even try posting a youtube video, even though I've never done it.
good luck, and vape on.
