its my understanding on my kayfun that im not suppose to put my wick into the fluid it channel but leave the wick just above it? (i just got mine yesterday)

on my aqua i learned to put the wick into the channels? am i not supposed to?

wouldn't both of these flood with out wick in the channels?

please explain with pics and youtube links

The Aqua is designed more like a PD (pressure differential) replaceable coil type glassomizer, than a kayfun... in that the deeply cut channels are designed to have the wick tails inserted into them, where they function as a seal of sorts.
The Kayfun has "open" but much smaller juice channels... the smaller orifice size developed to support the creation of a boundary layer between positive and negative pressures, with no wick required to function as a liquid to air separator.
