They are suppose to be, I know one style of thread that I don't think they use any more had problems with some of the V4L cartos. Someone better qualified will be along to answer this question as I am not sure the problem occurs any more.
I believe for the most part yes, it is the other way around where there are issues, when you have a KR8 Batt 901 Atomizers don't work because there are no slots on the bottom of them to breathe and pull air but with a 901 Riva Batts they should accept all KR8 Cartos and work fine I believe.
My 905 screwdriver won't work with 808 cartos because they do not have an airhole. My 808 batteries work great with 901 atty though all the air comes through the atty hole. I got all excited and then my 905 didnt work so I had to buy 901 cartos now I use 901 cartos on my bloog batts and I love that extra airhole both 901 atty and cartos have.
I believe the question was more aimed at the 901 Riva then the 905 screwdriver, V4L 808 Cartos, Ikenvape KR8 cartos, Nhaler Cartos, sorry to name vendors here but got to, every vendors KR8 Cartos that I have and it is many work on my Riva 901 Batts from Liberty-Flights ;-)
For the V4L CoolCarts, you may have to do the twist, untwist, twist a little more, untwist, repeat a few times, but they will eventually work.

All 808's may work but how well ??? Also if they screw too tight on the battery and can't get air like the 808 carto does on the 905 then they will not work at all. 901 cartos will work on 901,905 and 808 batts because they have their own airhole so it doesnt matter if the battery has airholes cut in it or not. When I left my last post I was side tracked by kids and dogs and the man all whining at the same time and the point I was trying to make got lost somewhere in my haed and didnt make it to the keyboard.
