Hello,

I have a KR808D-1 Ego with a DCVT tank all from Vapor4Life. I've been having issues with replacement cartomizers, so I was curious about trying other brands. I've seen reference to other brands such as Kanger, Bloog, Boge, etc But I can't seem to find any of these in 808 tank Cartos. Am I not looking in the right places or do they just not make them for 808's?

WOW, I see what you mean, 2 days and nothing. . I am sorry for that.

V4L actually has a good selection when it comes to 808 threaded accessories. But there are a few other companies that do make some things for the 808 but most companies just have regular carto's and nothing else. 808 threads are not the most popular threads which you are finding out ;)
What kinda problems are you having? Are you using the dual coil carto's or the single coil for your tank?

I know that smokelessimage has some Clearomizers for the 808 batteries but I have never used them.

I said I have posted a couple times on this board & none of my posts have been responded to. It wasn't just this one. There is another one that is 8 days old with no reply. No need to be snooty, I was just asking if I was doing something wrong to be ignored.

Leaking issues. I've spoke to Morandir indepth about them. I found out AFTER I bought a ton of 808 carto tanks that I can't handle high strengths of PG. I can however do 50/50 mixes. My tanks are fine until I go outside & the temp rises or I'm in the car (we don't have AC, but I live in Western Washington, it's not THAT hot!) & the sun is shining on me while I vape, etc. The temp rises slightly, my tanks leak. However, I've noticed a lot of people on the V4L forum complaining about their cartos not lasting as long or getting more bum ones in their batches, etc, so I was curious if there was another type of 808 tank carto that would fit the tanks I have, but I take it from the answers I received from both of you that would be a no? So, my other question is, would a 510 carto fit in an 808 tank? Like are they the same diameter? I realize that I would have to buy an adapter to make it fit the battery. I just hate to have all these tanks that I can't use, so I thought I would give a different brand of cartomizers a shot before I gave up on them, if they exist. Morandir says that I'm going to have issues because carto tanks & 50/50 juices don't work well together, especially when the temp fluctuates.

The Phoenix bottom coil cartomizer IMHO are excellent both in flavor and throat hit. They are easy to clean, just soak in vodka or pga overnight and quick dry burn when they dry out. I have been using the 510 version but now they have 808 here GotVapes PHOENiX™ REBORN BttmCoil XL 1.5ml Carto 2.4-2.6ohm -808 [gv-PHOENIX-XL-BC-808-2.4] - $11.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more Vape On ! :)

Thanks, I will keep those in mind! Do you know if they work with higher VG juices? I thought I read somewhere that the long wicks don't work well with high vg % juices....but I've read so much being a newbie that my head has spun a few times in the last few months.

Not really sure what you are talking bout. . Not being "snooty" at all. Was just saying that I felt bad cause you haven't had a response to any of your questions.

I have not seen the 808 tank. . If it is just a DC Tank w/ 808 carto's in them then most of the XL carto's will fit. I have the smoktech SC carto's for mine.
You might want to check out smokeless image or alt smoke to see if you can find something w/ the 808 threads or if it is a regular DCTank then most places sell them and the adapters.
There are places to get 808 products and most of the suppliers on ECF have them but I got my 510 carto's for mine from vapor phoenix.

You could always pick up a tank that takes regular cartos. They may be called mini tanks. That way you don't have to worry about finding XL. Carto tanks aren't really thread specific. Just depends on the carto. Kanger does make a Mega/XL 808D cartomizer, but I'm not sure if the diameter is standard or not. Might be something to look at though.

Sorry, my mistake. I guess I misunderstood your comment. The downside of the internet, I guess.

Yeah, it is just a regular tank that DC or SC cartos slip in the middle of. Pictured below... I've just never seen a 510 anything in real life (fairly new to vaping) so I wasn't sure if the diameter of the 510 cartos & 808 cartos are the same size?

I'll check them out.

Thanks, but I'm not really looking to buy a new product unless this doesn't work. I have 16 of these 808 Carto tanks, so I would really like to get these darn things to work, otherwise I'm out a bunch of money. I'll have to look again, but I think the only Kanger XL cartos I could find were kinda like the Ego Mega carts, which is not what I am looking for.
