Are all e-liquids greasy and sweet?

Hello,

Am vaping about 2 weeks now, ( joyetech Ego-cc) and as far as the pleasure of inhaling / exhaling the vapour I'm amazed how much pleasure I'm getting from it, and how similar it is to that aspect of smoking.

It's also working well with cravings and boozing.

However, the caveat to all that, which has me fairly worried, is that the e-liquid (Joyetech blended Virginia / Joytech coffee) tastes sickly sweet and leaves a film of greasy -chip fat like substance all over my gob. Tasting this constantly makes me nauseous.

Do they all pretty much taste like this because of PG/VG bases ?

Are there any that have no greasy / sweet quality to them whatever?

Be brutally honest with me as I'm not gonna get used to the sweet / greasy taste and I don't want to get my hopes up that I may be off the ciggies for good.

Cheers

I've never tried those juices specifically, but I have had some that do leave a kind of film in my mouth. I've also had a ton that do not, so there is hope for you yet ;) most with higher pg won't do that, also some vendors use ADDED sweeteners which may be your problem. I would definitely try a different vendor, there are thousands to pick from. Good luck!

That exactly^^ and 50/50 or higher PG ratios for sure. Pick flavors that are not sweet things and read reviews on the vendor sites when you find flavors to see if people note them as having a sweetness when it is not a sweet flavor.

Look for vendors with small bottle sample packs or sites like E-Liquid Samples - Cheap 1mL samples of boutique e-juice which offers a lot of flavors in teeny bottles from multiple vendors.

All juices have a lil greasy oily feel due to the PG/VG..as far as too sweet, use another flavor...but none will taste like an analog..they all have some "sweetness" but not all are strong or over bearing..U may want to try the tobacco flavor 555 which has a hint of caramel..or American East Coast Tobacco flavors from Best E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes | E Cig Juice - MT Baker Vapor (MBV) ..or maybe a local vape shop, can help U sample a few..

BTW..U get a free 15ML sample with any order over $15 at MBV..place in comments what U flavor U would like...and yes, 80PG/20VG may lighten up that oily feel for you

Curious.

Joyetech liquids?

Have you tried other ones? Not wishing to run Joyetech down (one of my hobbies), but there are so many different types of e-liquid out there. Chinese liquid is noticeably different to UK liquids and I like and use both. I must admit to getting this sometimes, but certainly not across the board.

I don't get this with tobacco types made from plain base liquid + Inawera concentrates (as an example) but I do get it with some locally bought liquids that use a high % of sweet/fruit flavours.

I would guess the problem comes from the flavours more than the PG/VG, but I don't know for sure.

I have definitely had those greasy almost buttery feeling juices and I can't stand them. I see you live in Ireland and am not sure if you have access to stores that might have a juice bar where you could try a lot of flavors that would fit your likes better. Try some of the fruit flavors maybe, but without sweeteners added. There are makers out there that have great sour/tart flavors if that would suit you.
