I made the mistake of buying a blu kit, I really didn't care for it (to put it nicely), but before I gave up on it I used Volcano Magma's carts. So I know at the very least the cartridges work on a blu, but does the rest of their products work with blu batteries (chargers, charging pack, etc.) Since the cartridges work (meaning the same threads) it seemlike they would be, but you know what they say about assuming things.

I have two family friends that are long time smokers, I've let them both try my ecigs. One it took him a while to get the hang of it, how to properly hit it and not have a coughing fit and he really likes mine. The other (his mom) she'solder and hasn't really taken to it, she's only taken a few hits, always ending with major coughing fits. So I was surprised when she recently mentioned that once she finishes her last carton she wants to switch to ecig.

Neither want to fool with liquid and filling carts/clearos, and since I have the blu pack and an extra battery lying around anyway, plus it'd be easy to get cartridges at just about any convenience store for her, I figure it couldn't hurt to let them have it. But I'm missing the usb charger, and if they both decide to use them they'll need other stuff because sharing one pack won't work forever, but blu's stuff is ridiculously expensive so I'm hoping the magma line of products and blu are interchangeable.

On the charger side you might be dealing with reverse polarity. If the polarity on the Volcano matches a 510 or if it is a 510 the chargers are not compatible.

I can't answer your question other than recommend something better.

Halo's G6 line has just gotten great reviews from PCMagazine.

(and Halo is having a rare 15% sale on hardware until tonight!)(Makes a great gift)

Get them something well made, highly recommended, and works great. (Battery life on a Blu leaves something to be desired. Like a battery life!!)

Seriously, if a smoker is going to have any chance of success, they need quality tools. Blu is a starter for many, but we know better.

Best of luck to the three of you!!!

Good grief, I'm glad I asked about the charger!

I agree with you completely. But as things tend to do, everything is piling up at once and money just became extra tight for me. I'm not sure I can afford to invest money into getting everything I think they need to have a successful transition, especially if it doesn't work out and it all ends up at the back of the junk drawer. Plus I've haven't found any decent prefilled carts, and as we all know finding what you like is a lot of trial and error, and having to buy a five pack of carts that you may not even like seems like risky and pricey business.

I may already have a temporary solution though, I have a couple 808 volt batteries from smokeless image that I use mostly when I need my hands free, I could lend them those as a kind of safety net for the blu not working out. Can I get some recommendations for good prefilled carts for Blu and 808 batteries.

I'm most worried about her not taking to it, I asked her what kind of flavors she'd be interested in she insisted she just wants tobacco and that's it. It's never going to taste like a real cig, but what's a good tobacco flavor? If it helps she smokes probably 1-2 packs of Winston Ultralights a day.
