I'm still really sad about bogegate. Plus I feel bad for people like the folks at phiniac. They make beautiful tanks that are now useless. :(

That was months ago. Everything is fine with the boges and has been for literally months. Don't feel sorry for Phiniac they make a beautiful tank, and are far from useless. And you can't beat the durability.

I really have to hope the OP doesn't go with the silica wick clearo anythings if they like anything over 7 watts or chain vape. They really can't keep up if you chain vape or like a hotter vape, they are very poor at wicking even if you do swish and swirl and all the other maneuvers you can try to keep them fed. Vivi novas/CE anythings just won't do it for anyone wanting a nice hit time after time. They are very inconsistent and the flavor just mutes, but if you are a cool non chain vaper they might be fine for you.

The only thing I care for now are cartos in tanks and cartos on a bottom feeder because they will stay wet and fine hit after hit. The only others that can keep up are dripping atties and RBA's with anything but silica in them. Cartos are far from going away.

I agree with BlkWolfs sentiments in regards to using whatever works best for you but I wanted to clarify that juice delivery timeline a bit since its a little messed up.

Modern electronic cigarettes started out using an atomizer that was in two pieces. You had the atomizer and either a drip tip or a cartridge. You could either drip directly onto the atomizer or fill a cartridge with liquid.

Cartomizers came next and featured a one piece design. These enjoyed a lot of popularity but had drawbacks including dry hits and not very much capacity for liquid.

The first clearomizers came out shortly after cartos and were abandoned by most as being unreliable due to their tendency to leak everywhere.

The first tank system commercially available was an Ego-T that consisted of a small tank reservoir that was filled then punctured and dripped directly onto an atomizer via gravity.

Then what are most commonly know as tanks or carto tanks were developed on this forum in the modders section. People used plastic tubes and glass test tubes to create the carto tank. By punching holes in the cartomizer so it would wick juice from outside and using grommets to seal the tube it virtually eliminated the two main drawbacks of cartomizers, dry hits and smaller juice holding capability.

Clearomizers also made a comeback during this time and with newer technologies that proved to be more reliable.

With the advent and use of carto tanks modders turned their focus onto rebuildable atomizers (They had been working on these almost right from the start partly fueled by fears of a ban and no U.S makers of the product at the time) they then combined tanks and rebuildable atomizers into one system and RBAS were born.

Vivi Novas are the new kid on the block and combine the internals of a clearomizer with the convenience of a plastic tank. They also had the un-looked for benefit of being rebuildable and are also extremely easy to fill and maintain. Some people also call them tanks but the more correct and less misleading term is clearo-tank.

Theres your history lesson on the evolution of juice delivery systems in a nutshell. If any other old timers see anything wrong in that timeline feel free to shoot me a pm and I'll change it, my memory isnt what it used to be but I think I got it right. Thought that some of the newer people would be interested in seeing this.

Ok, lets get this one right...

Anyways, take care.

I have to chime in here. For over a year, I have been using DCTanks with black plastic caps. I punch my own cartos with a jig and punch. The metal caps on these tanks are very unforgivingly tight if your carto is the slightest bit out of round after punching. I cut down all of my tubes to fit an sr single coil carto. I modded all of the polycarbonate tubes with polypropylene tubes from GotVapes. I have a substantial supply of old stock sr Boge cartos and some new Smoktech sr cartos. I like the ST cartos even better. I have enough tanks and cartos to last a few years, and I don't see anything good enough to replace them. I haven't jumped on to buy any of the "new" stuff. I'm just sooo happy with my current setup. SR single coil carto in a tank, vaping heaven for me, never have a problem...3ohm carto in a tank @ 5.5V is my happy place. :)

I just love single coil cartos. I currently use the COV ReNEW cartos, they come in different sizes, and resistances. I did finally order me a carto tank from myvaoprstore, because they sell single coil cartos with the tank. Iv tried ce2's, stardust's, atomizers, even got me a Vivi Nova, and I still go back to the throat hit of a carto...
