I've tried ce4 stardust, t2 t3 t0, mini vivi, all were inconsistent and a lot of fiddling, leaking, dry hits ect. The thing i like about these are the size but performance is lacking on all fronts. But i still have my smoketech 2.0 ohm cartomizers that came with my kit and 2 of them are still going strong 2 months later and they still produce the best vape quality th and taste! and all I have to do is keep them full which is dripping every hour or so. A pain... But the cart material holds the juice and they never leak! are cartos the only way I'm gonna get this type of vape. Should I bite the bullet and get a carto tank and be done? My only issue is the duds and pulling off. How long can a carto last in a tank before it burns out? I don't seem to have any issue with them getting dirty. My idea of a perfect system would be a wick and coil that I could rebuild with cart material surrounding it. Is this out there?

The t0 was probably the closest and didnt leak since it has carto material, but the capacity was low. I would probably really like a t0 with a t3 tank size and ease of filling

I need capacity with out being a overly large diameter tank, not much bigger than ego battery.

I am looking at the smoketech ego type a&b cartos in 1.8 - 3ml capacity. I like the ego threading and size in diameter. Any experience with these?

Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - Smok Tech Cartomizers

What should I go for, I want least amount of maintenance and best performance with no leaking and durable. With low cost of use. Tanks slipping worry me. Dripping is not an option out on the road and little kids at home it needs to be secure without leaking.

im getting tired of my drawer filling with devices that don't work well.

Carto tanks are one of the more hassle free ways to vape. I use(on the rare occasion that I put down my genesis atty) pyrex ones from Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks. I use those owing to some of my juice is a tank cracker and I like you wanted fill and go(without having to wonder if my juice is going to crack my tank). If you are wondering if the pyrex tanks will be fragile dont worry about the phiniac they have vids of them being thrown against a garage door and then bouncing off of concrete(never tried it myself but its nice to know it can survive it if I did). Depending on the thickness of your juice(pg/vg ratio) I would get a carto punch and punch your own holes in the cartos(I have never had a pre punched carto that wicked right with out modding it some, but thats just me).

The genesis attys(once you get over the learning curve) are equally as fiddle proof and the wick and coils last longer and are cheaper to make. The attys are a bit more(ok a LOT more) fiddly at first while getting over the learning curve but once over it its smooth sailing, and clouds of vapor.

As far as I'm concerned the carto is about the most consistent (excluding the "duds" and "burnt right out of the box" ones...which does happen, though usually rarely depending on the manufacturer). I like the carto tanks. The VaporBeast link posted is good. Generally I get better life out of Boge or Ikenvape than I do the Smoktech cartomizers..but YMMV. My husband uses the Smok ones and really likes them. They are a little narrower in diameter than Boge so they fit in more tank varieties easier. Aso, he can get 1.7ohm which he prefers. I personally find they burn out kinda quick...but I'm a very heavy vaper. (I LOVE to vape!)

Carto tanks don't have to be "difficult" or messy or anything. Nowadays there are all sorts of little tools to help and make filling and topping off a breeze. You can even punch your own with an inexpensive (or expensive, depending on what you want) tool. I like to punch my own because I find manufacturers tend to put their holes too low on the carto...too near the coil..making the carto crackle and pop really loud, and speeding the demise of the cartomizer. But to each his or her own. My husband like the pre-punched ones...but he likes me to put an additional hole in his a bit higher up. It helps. Anyway...the Smok carto tanks usually come with dual coil cartos...but you can replace those with single coil cartomizers for MUCH better performance. That's what we do.

If you are worried about them sliding off, this is about as secure as it gets! Artemas Locking 510 DCT, Clear
I haven't found a small one yet, but it CAN'T slide off!
I've personally never had one slip off, most of mine take some effort to get off to refill.
I've tried the mega cartos for the EGO's, half of them don't work, or don't work well. Not a fan.
I've tried the Vivi Nova's, muted flavor or burnt taste, or dry hits or................. Not a fan.
I've tried rebuildables, finicky, hard to work with, bump it you have to fidget with it, set it down to hard, fidget with it, taste great, then burnt taste, fidget with it. I'm still learning on these, when they work, they are great, but they WILL test your patience!
I've gotten lazy, carto tanks are easy! They work, they are easy to refill, I can get around a week out of a good carto in a tank, sometimes two weeks. Great flavor, great th, no muting, no burnt taste (until the carto is done) and did I mention they are easy?

I would try using a cartomizer if you have not yet. Like anything else we use, it's good to know the correct way to fill and use them. If you end up liking them, but find that they need frequent "topping off" to enjoy them, consider using them in a tank.

Once set up, a cartotank can last 1-2 days without any hassles. Once you get the routine down to assembling and filling them, they don't take long to start, either. I can set up a new tank and carto in 5 minutes and it is ready to vape, one minute to refill it.

This link will show a demo on how to properly fill a cartomizer, and then goes on to show how to fill a cartotank:

You could also just try an Echo-E cartomizer. It's a 3 ml bottom coil cartomizer made to sit flush on an eGo battery. I've been using the Echo and Echo-V cartomizers for about a month now and I love them.

Bonus, it can be completely rebuilt except for the inner air tube. Just ask in the Echo thread over in the eGo forum.

Good luck!

These locking DCT tanks are only effective if you are using a cartomizer that was built specifically for the tank. AFAIK SmokTech is the only place that makes a locking DCT tank compatible cartomizer. Boge makes an F16 flanged cartomizer, but it will not fit the Artemas locking DCT without modification. For that you have to use the matching F16 tank...

There is a company out there that makes a tank that will lock onto a non flanged cartomizer, the AGR Carto Tank. I've only ever seen them on the Steam Monkey website, but never in stock. I've started using these Genesis atomizers... Haven't touched a carto in a little bit.

I would agree though, cartomizers are probably the most consistent vaping experience out there. Much better than clearomizers, IMO

I use to use carto tanks all the time until I got my hands on a viva nova tank. Soooo easy to fill and a great vape!! And cheap to!!

I believe the OP mentioned having tried the Vivis and some other wick tanks and wasn't that fond of their performance compared to cartomizers. I could be mistaken, but I think the question was more about carto tanks.

IMHO yes. I really don't get the clearo thing. I've tried ce2s, ce4's, stardust, nanos...they're all just too finicky, leaky and gurglely. Also, I can't even imagine stuffing one of those in my pocket. I've never tried tanks. A full carto will last me 3-4 hours (XLs up to 6), so I fill 4-5 each evening and I'm good for the day. For some it's a hobby, and for others, simple is better.

My primary carto at 3.7 V regulated is the single coil Smoktech 2.0 ohm LR XL in stainless steel. Smoktech XL cartos hold 1.8 ml. At my vape rate of about 2 ml per day I top these off every three hours.

I use the single coil Smoktech 1.7 ohm LR XL once in a while. It has a warmer vape at the same voltage but needs to be topped off three times as often to prevent burning.

2.0 ohm low resistance cartomizers

Yes cartomizers alway give good vape. But have to fill too much. I tried a mini nova not a full size.

I like the idea of the T0.. It has a little carto inside it, but the size is too small if they made it larger, easier to fill with a replaceable cartridge it would be perfect. All contained in a t3 size clearo.

I know that would nearly make it a carto tank but in one sleak package. That you can fill easily and have 2.5- 3 ml capacity

The t3 is ok but too many issues to deal with all the time.
