Are clearomizers really this complicated?

I am seeing a lot of people talking about rebuilding coils and re-wicking CE4's and so on. I am wondering... What do I do with a "standard" CE4 or Vivi nova? Is it okay to not use a variable voltage battery? AAAAH I am confused.

I am barely tech savvy enough to avoid wearing my e-liquid most of the time and I am almost afraid to order any clearos now because I burn them up so fast and get a lot of DOA's

The "old" stardust CE4s weren't rebuildable - that's why I don't like them.

CE5s or Vision V3s have replaceable heads and work great on standard ego batteries. Rebuilding coils is not that straightforward, but for some people it's worth it. I learned how to do it (and test them on a meter) but these days, I get 2 weeks out of an Evod clearo so just pay for ready-made.

I must have 10 re-wicked Nova Heads in my box....but I'm in Birmingham, UK.

Clearomizers are probably the least complicated delivery system available. Fill & vape with the occasional cleaning or changing of the head.

Rebuilding isn't necessary, but the mark up on purchasing heads is too costly imo. I personally hate waste & try to reduce it whenever possible.

I, too, am technologically declined. I get by keeping it simple.

I bought a Kanger T2 tank from Vaporbeast for $5, and a 5-pack of replacement heads is $7 (these prices include shipping). No leaks, no fuss, and changing the heads is easy.

The heads last about a week, probably because I use a clear fruity-flavored juice (grape or blueberry) and dilute it with unflavored. Every Friday, whether I need to or not, I remove the old head, wash the tank, and install a fresh head. If the old head's been performing fine, I'll wash that, too and store it in my just-in-case box. A 5-pack of heads lasts me a while.

You're right, unless you enjoy fiddling with your gear, you should pursue a less complicated route. I'm too busy with other things to put much more thought into it than I have. Maybe later, but for now I'm content.

I find the clearo's high maintance, but worth the extra time to clean them, dry burn the crap out. Once you notice they aren't performing like they use to, take them apart and clean which is real easy. I got just about a month out of my C4 wick before I had to throw it out and IMO that pretty good since I vaped a whole lotta juice through it before it died. I do remove and clean the o-rings, grooves and all the threads with rubbing alcohol cause once the juice gets behind the o-rings it will leak no matter how old the clearo is.

So, if I manage to get a couple of weeks out of a clearo I am not doing that bad? I know they talk like it's something that is supposed to last and last at the local e-cig stores, but not for me =(.

Is that the same "they" that say each pre-filled carto is equal to a pack of cigarettes?
