The bigest problem with Polly tanks is they react with certain juices. There are some that are inert with all juices but glass is a no brainier same with stainless the only polly tank I use any more is my Sami square I use the phiniac and IBT and SS contaminator. The draw back to SS is you cant see inside unless you have a Big Daddy tank it has an inert plastic sleeve inside so you have a window.
Ive never herd of sores or any ill side affects other than your tank cracking and leaking juice.

It doesn't matter what cartomizer you put into a tank, glass or whatever, as long as it has holes for juice to move from the tank to inside the carto, and is the correct length for for the particular tank. Tanks and cartos come in two lengths, 35mm (standard) and 45mm (Xtra Long).

To answer the OP question, pyrex glass is the preferred material of choice. It is immune to any adverse affects of volatile juices. It also imparts nothing to alter the flavor of all juices. Being glass, it can not take as much abuse as plastic, though. There are different grades of pyrex, some are more durable against shattering than another, but knowing what each manufacturer uses would be difficult to find out.

Polypropylene is another plastic that is generally considered safe to use. It has a frosted appearance, not clear, but you can still easily see your juice level. Polypropylene is the same plastic that medical syringes are made of.

This link has a current list of flavors known to degrade polycarbonate plastic: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-29.html#post7203876

If your wanting to check into tanks go to this site.
IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!
You can get acrylic tops or stainless steel tops. Great product and I've only got 5 (I think) and another coming. I'm sold on this vendor. Great CS and great product. I really don't know what juice will go into it till I fill it. I'll go glass. If you want something really tuff then check out the Phiniac site. They show drop tests on theirs and it's wild. I would never treat my tanks badly. Since I went to carto/tanks that's all I want to use now.;

Glass and stainless steel are the safest materials to use. Non reactive to just about anything. IME. I cook a lot along with vaping. In cooking SS and Glass and ceramics are non reactive.

Polypropylene is not as safe as they thought. It is however safe than most. But they did find that some chemicals do leach out of it. It is better than the other plastics but it is not completely free of leaching. It was found to contaminate lab experiments. The advantage is that it is cheaper than glass.

I don't understand the want for glass. If you break a tank in your pocket, you'll need to immediately lose your pants. For desk use, i get that but not for all around use.

I don't think you need to lose the pants, juice that you are vaping isn't that strong in nicotine. I would turn my pocket inside out and rinse it and my skin but I wouldn'r be ripping my pants off in a panic.

Also I think I would crack or break a plastic tank much easier than a glass one.

Are there glass tanks that work with standard 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos for tanks?

most glass tanks that will work with standard length cartos will be 3.5 ml in size and yes they do make them.
