I just got back into vaping. I went down to madvapes and bought a few ejuices. They all taste like the juice I can make at home.

That said, does anyone know if there are vendors out there that can make juices taste good? I remember my cousin bought an e-cig from a gas station that was mountain dew flavor and it was just bursting with flavor.

I just assume that every mom and pop shop uses the same basic recipes and it wouldnt be worth the extra $$ for the more expensive juices. I could be wrong and I hope I am wrong. That is why I am making this thread. Hopefully, someone can recommend me some vendors to try out. Thanks.

If you find a juice you like enough to pay the asking price, then it is worth the money.

My top 3 juices are all higher-priced juices from juice shops: Boba's Bounty from AVEJuice.com, Candied Cavendish from Plume Room which is a Naturally Extracted Tobacco flavor, and Southern Freeze from Nicquid. Of these the only one I thought I had a shot at recreating was Southern Freeze but so far all my DIY efforts haven't even been close.

There are two more expensive liquids that I found exceptionally good. One is Amelia by Jameson's. it's listed as a strawberry flavor, but its way beyond strawberry. The other is Blueberry Bluffin by Doc Baker Elixer. I really do not want to like expensive liquids, but these two were fantastic, IMO. I don't know what they do to them. Maybe it's use of natural extracts rather than isolated flavor molecules. I've tried quite a few less expensive flavors, and I enjoy them, but none hit the level of complexity and 'true' taste that these do.

I usually make my own liquids, and that's primarily what I vape. I intend to get some natural extracts at some point and see if I can create something more like the two liquids I mentioned above. At this point, although my stuff is good, it's nowhere close. With the money i save doing DIY I suppose I can justify the splurge on an expensive liquid every now and then.

Oh, I didn't care for Boba's Bounty. Just as a side note ;)

To me yes. I bought from mtbakervapor from the start and generally enjoyed them. When they ran out of flavoring I went higher end with goodlifevapor. The difference is amazing. It's more expensive certainly but well worth it to me. The difference is flavor huge. They also get a lot more vapor from the same pg/vg ratio.

I've had inexpensive juice that is out of this world and I've had expensive, incredibly over-hyped juice that is terrible...and vice versa. Someone can be the most precise, multi-flavor mixer in the world and their juice can be hyped as the be all, end all top shelf gourmet product out there and the juice can still suck. What we like is totally dependent on our tastebuds as well as our personal likes and dislikes. No one is the same and taste is subjective. Put ten people in a room, give them the same juice to vape, and you can get 10 differing opinions of it....My favorite juice is really inexpensive....my second favorite is rather pricey...

Lots of factors affect juice quality, starting with the quality of the nicotine used. Beyond that, more and more juice makers are using house extracted flavors. I find the quality and uniqueness of some of those juices to be worth the extra money.

There's a flavor from a vendor that I absolutely love, but cannot find anything like it anywhere else. It's a Rum Fired Virginia Tobacco flavor and the vendor's price is $10 for 10ml. I'm going to keep looking for another source, but when I'm done with the last few ml's of this stuff, I'll probably reorder.

My DIY projects have been good to excellent so far. I have two DIY flavors that I will keep in my daily rotation. Those cost me pennies per ml, so I can justify the money spent on the high end stuff with the money saved by DIY liquid.

I'm also in NC and local to Madvapes. Their stuff is un-vapeable. 90% of my stuff comes from Mt Baker Vapor, so I'm not comparing them to some boutique liquid. I'd urge you to try something else. Strongly. I do like having a B&M nearby and I support them as much as I can, but I can't do their juice.

Bravo for supporting local vape shops! Mad Vapes has 4 locations in NC, but nothing near me. Some vendors let you sorta DIY without actually DIY'ing and they don't need to be expensive to be good. For exampple: I have yet to find a chocolate blend as great tasting as that I made from 4 flavors via Ecblend. My DIY "Tri Chocolate" is close but still falls short, at least in my own opinion.

Even the higher-priced juices are cheap compared to buying cigarettes, at least in high-tax states like mine. But I was spoiled by years of rolling my own (cost: less than $2/day) so I am finding vaping a bit more expensive than smoking. I'm thinking about trying the DIY route but damn, I already have too many things I'm trying to cram into my "free time."

It does please me to know that the money I DO have to spend on juice is going to cottage industries and not big corporations.

Wordupecig strawberry cheesecake is a little on the high end and i have yet to find another vendor with a juice i prefer or like as much. I guess it depends what you like when it comes to being worth it or not. If youre perfectly happy with cheap juice then i see nothing wrong with it. You may like to use something fancy now and then as well.
