Are kicks safe to use

I am looking into several mods that I can use a kick in. I would like to know if they are safe to use and do they have any built in safety features in them.

Yep, just use IMR batteries as they indicate and they work great.

Make sure you use a black marksalot to mark the plus and minus on any flat-top bats you get. Else you'll put them in backwards.

But why buy a mod you can use a kick with? You could just buy a VV mod and not worry about it. I already had a Reo Grand so the kick made sense for me. Else I would have just got a cheapie Vamo or a pricey Provari. Even Reo has the VV Reo (Probably my next mod).
