Hello - I just started using Cartomizers, I like it a lot better because I dont have to constantly refill my juice. I fill the cotton to the max smoke it and its great. I've been chain smoking and I realized the power of flavor/throat hit seems to be diminishing quicker. I've been using this carto for a day or two, and already I am getting maybe 5-10 tasty strong hits, where earlier its been around 30-100. I don't think my kgo battery is dead in three hours. Any idea why? I thought cartos get better with use.

Also how do you know when its time to replace your carto. I know its time to refill the juice when I slight burn/harsh taste and refill it when those background notes appear.

Thank you

Edit: To explain the weakness of flavor/throat it. Even though I'm blowing some vape out, it feels extremely light, and sort of sounds like/feels like there is an air leak. Im using BOGE dual coil cartomizers and assume they last at least a week

It is kind of hard to say, usually they last a week or 2.. but if they get dry, or the liquid is very thick they can burn/get clogged way faster..

If you take a look through the carto at a bright light you should be able to see out the end if you cannot you may have a blockage/the internal wrapping may be leaking into the center tube, etc...

Good thing these are relatively cheap and the more you use Cartos, the longer they seem to last (within reason of course)

I saw that video. I didn't bother with the condom I drip it down the sides make sure nothing gets in the middle and if it does I blow it out. I just don't know why they feel "light" when inhaling or just not right so quickly.

How would you know when your cartomizer is dead. I have a few, so it can be replaced.. i just want to make sure its the cartomizer after 1 day and not waste it.

You'd be surprised at how long it takes for the juice to fully saturate all the filler. That's why I like the condom method cuz it immerses the entire filler area in juice. After this first fill, if I wasn't using a tank, I would just drip in the top witha round toothpick in the air passage to prevent any juice from getting in. I tried dripping, needle, Taryn Spin and found this worked for me. What PG/ VG ratio juice are you vaping and what's the nic level?

I change my carto's out about every 2-3 days. I don't think that Boge makes dual coil cartomizers, they're more than likely Smoktech. That being said, they're more than likely 1.5ohms. If the KGO is supplying 3.7-4.2v, you're getting about 5-6watts per coil, which in my opinion, is not enough power. The problem you may be having is that you may be flooding the carto due to lack of heat to efficiently vaporize the liquid, try blowing some of the juice out. Lack of heat may also cause the coil to get gunked up because it cant burn off the residue left behind (search "dry burning"). What kind of juice are you using? Some juices are notorious for ruining cartomizers. Lastly, I would definitely try using a single coil low resistance cartomizer. A low resistance Boge is 2ohms, which will draw 7-8watts from your KGO and burn much hotter. I hope that this helps. Good luck with your journey!

I believe im using 60/40 blend.. i drip it on the side.. then swirl it like a maniac and repeat.. the first few fills seemed ok.. so the issue is my battery (dont think a kgo is dieing in 4 hours?) or the cartomizer.. i have a spare im just gonna try now.. but the hit is def less intense i tried 4 different juices all the hits used to be strong and potent now its very hard to explain... like sucking through a straw with a hole on the side... on a side note.. how do you know when its time to replace cartomizers?

HEC062 Boge 2.0ohm LR 510 cartomizers Are the cartomizers I am using right now. Im using various flavors from ehoosier i believe 60/40 blend 18 or 24mg nic hit. It really sucks because it hit like a champ first handful of smokes and now its very light and lacking in th/flavor.. I can only thing the battery or the cartomizer is dead, but Im not sure how one determines that since this is my first carto

Yes the batts are 1100 mah. 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping. Sounds like maybe you need to either up your nic level or get some WTA juice. The Dual coil cartos will drain it faster. I've given out (it's a long story) over 80 Kgos and they are all using the SmokTech 1.7 single XL and being able to vape all day. The ST is all I use and if your chainvaping it might be a good diea to think about a tank. For me 2 fills for the whole day.

When I was using the KGO's I carried around three of them charged. I usually went through two in a day and used one as a backup. That was using a tank with a dual coil carto. The dual coil will suck a battery down pretty quick. I changed to a 1.7 single coil from Smoktech and liked it a lot better with better hit and longer battery life.

I don't use cartos (gasp) and I'm not sure this will help,

but one of my vaping friends uses them...when they start aggravating her, she considers them dead
