The way our system is set up, you DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT to pay using the PayPal server. Simply follow the instructions during checkout, and you will be able to check out using any major credit card or an e-check without needing a PayPal account.

We never see the end users credit card information either and we're using a merchant account. It's stored on Volusion's server if the customer chooses to keep that credit card on file for future purchases. And even with it on the Volusion servers, I have to have the 3 digit security code from the back of the card to submit a charge to the card.
I can't see the full card data through the merchant account transaction record either.
PayPal is secure. They'll also securely store your money for 180 days.
