are these batteries safe for a lavatube mini?

What Meatsneakers said...it's a booster cct, I don't think it's particularly dangerous using a protected batt but you'll always be up against the protection cct over amp cut-out on anything over about 4v...a buddy used his Lava for a couple days on a TF he had while waiting for his IMR's to come in the mail...it just drove him crazy is all.

I've tried using the protected Ultrafire 18650s in my LavaTube. It's a total pain in ..... The protection circuit seems to be kicking in right around 1C.
The higher mah makes them attractive but you'll never get the benefit of it in a boost mod like the LavaTube. They simply can't handle the discharge rate that's required.

So... To repeat what everyone else has already said... Stick with IMR batteries.
