Hi everyone, ordered some batteries for my wife's vape as she needed new ones, problem is all the wholesalers were out of stock of the vtc5a when i ordered so i had to order through Element Vape. Ordered them with a battery pack and they did not include the battery pack and just simply placed the exposed batteries in a usps shipping pouch. I notice the batteries also have markings over the QR code. This seems highly suspect to me. Can anyone with more knowledge shed some light on if these are legit or not?

That sure seems like a Huge Red Flag to me.

The Wrap also says that they shouldn't be used Outside of the Battery Pack. Do all VTC5A's say that? Does the Top of the Bottom of them have any Marks like they were De-Soldered? Or have been Sand to cover up a De-Solder mark?

Years ago it was getting incredibly hard to tell counterfeit batteries from the real thing without complicated testing equipment, and the best thing to do was go to a store that could track the supply chain from the manufacturer. If regular channels no longer have the batteries they probably aren't made any more. So you're looking for new old stock. Vtc5as were from the height of counterfeiting (there is better stuff now) so there has to be a reason these didn't sell.
