I am 100% new and am tired of all this research when I don't even know what it is I'm trying to find.I have a V5/nautilus ordered at the vape shop but am mad because they told me they would have it in 3 days 5 days ago.For some unknown reason I decided they were better than Kanger Evods.I can go right down street and get the Kanger/Evod/joye stuff today.Would I regret not waiting later?

Why not get both? I have lower tech and upper tech (pv is the kanger evod, apv is the vamos). A lot of people start with the pvs (even the 808s like I did), then upgrade, but still use both. You can always return, depending in the retailer's terms.

I want to just buy one time instead of trying to start cheap and then have to spend more.Since I'm new It might not be that much of a difference but I donno.I don't mind spending a hundred and be done but don't want to go through all the stuff that don't work well.If vamo's are lots better,I will wait.

The Evod is basically an Ego. It's a small, basic ecig. No variable voltage or variable wattage.

The Vamo V5 is a middle-ground mod. You can change the voltage or wattage setting to provide more vapor and/or flavor and with large batteries it can hold about twice the charge of the Evod/Ego.

I use both a mod and an Ego/Evod style ecig every day, but if I had to give up one it would be the smaller Ego/Evod. The mod always has more power and produces more vapor, the Ego/Evod is more about convenience.

I agree completely with this.

I started with a Kanger EVOD starter kit. Bought a couple of regulated mods later. I don't regret the evod starter kit as I still use it when I want something pocket friendly and discreet.

That said, I use my eVic every day, a lot.

The ego stuff functions as "out and about for limited time" gear, My larger mods are used while I am working and away from charging facilities for extended periods. The bigger tanks I use with the mods also makes it so I don't have to refill the small evods throughout the day. A full size Protank lasts me quite a while whereas the evod only a few hours.

It is nice having both. I have backups. One needs backups if just quitting the analogs.

I agree with above.I have a vision spinner for during the day & a vamo which I use at home. The spinner is ideal to carry around in my tool case on site & I like the fact that I can fine tune with the variable voltage.Evenings I prefer my vamo & i clear 30 ,handy to have the ohms checker to test new coils before I fill a dud with juice!Vamo's a bit too bulky for me to carry around on site. Its good to have a choice(& spares).

I'm seeing now where I probably need both types and it wouldn't be a matter of totally replacing the evod with the vamo when it comes in.Each would be useful.Do cartos, clearos interchange between the two at all?

Yes, EVOD tanks are ego threaded, the Kanger EVOD batteries are both ego and 510 threaded.
The Vamo is both ego and 510 threaded also.

EVOD tanks will work on your Vamo, the Nautilus will work on your EVOD batteries.

Completly cross compatible.

The little ego type batteries are kind of top heavy with the Nautilus on top however!

The vamo combination with a nautilus is a nice choice. The evod/ego type setups are more for beginners who haven't acclimated to the size and weight of larger setup, as well as how to hold it. That's why they're frequently in beginner's kits, but with your vamo you can use higher capacity batteries.
I am a beginner,I was just trying to start where I'd end up.I'm thinking now about getting both though because they say the Evod's are what you need for out and about anyway.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Evod kit. I started with that, and still use it sometimes, even though I have upgraded to an MVP 2. It is always nice to have a back up, plus the Evod batteries are really nice to use when you want to be unobtrusive about your vaping, since they are about the size of a Sharpie marker.
