Are you a non-smoker?

I'm wondering about this question now that I'm exclusively vaping. When you encounter this question on say... a health insurance application, how do you respond?

Anyone have any solid info on whether it's legal to claim that we are "non-smokers" now? How long after that last "analog" do you think we have to wait to make such a claim? For the first time, I can foresee NEVER smoking tobacco again (and that's after quitting MANY times over the last 20+ years of this infernal addiction!)

Curious on what everyone's opinion might be. Thanks.

I say no I'm not smoking. Vaping is no different than nicotine gum or the patch. Sure, I still have nicotine intake but so do people on gum and patch and as far as I know they are still considered non-smokers....

someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the nicotine stays in your system for a long time (few months maybe, just a guess) and if you are going to have to take a test for the health insurance it will show up. I had to take a test(draw blood) for my life insurance, not sure if its the same.

Hmmm, never had to take a test, though I suppose my corpse would be ridden with nicotine. Guess you are considered a "smoker" by insurance until nicotine is completely gone from you system? Any one in the business?
