I can remember when the only choice was 4081, 510, 901 or "penstyle"
plain fruit flavors or tobacco.
Then the screwdriver came out. Shortly after that, the puck. That's when Hubby started building box mods. We had to either take apart a battery or get connectors from a member named Nuke (nuck? something like that)

Now I'm rockin a VV box and Sugar cookie during the day, Tiramisu at night.
We've come so far.

I started vaping in Aug. 2009 with those "penstyle" 801's. What drippy, leaky messes those were. Still have a bunch of 'em collecting dust because I stocked up in case PV's were banned. And 901's ... Jeesh. Reckon I could use them for Christmas tree ornaments.

I remember being so excited that I finally found pink 901 batteries, after only seeing white or black. I remember having to special order them. (About a week before hubby made my first box mod) Leaky, messy, frustratingly short cut off, but they got me off cigarettes, yes they did. From 3 PAD to nothing in about 10 days.

I still have some of them. We pulled them out about 3 weeks ago and charged them up for him to take to work. He doesn't want to use the box mod at a new job. They still work! Over 2 years they've been setting in a box and they charged right up. He has to take 5 to work with him to get thru the day, but they're working.
I've just ordered him one of those very awesome volt pcc. Should be here today.

Princess, I remember those 901's with the short cut off, I also still have some of them laying around and some auto 510 batteries. They didn't last long either though.

Does anyone still use the screwdriver, it was the 1st mod I remember being born from this.

Actually, he did It's the only ones we have. 2 pink, 2 purple (not a manly purple. A light, pretty purple), 1 black.
(We took apart the others to use the connectors for mods. I wouldn't let him destroy the pink or purple ones, so that's what we have left.)

He only vapes in his office and no one sees him. I think it bothers me more than him.

I have a bunch of my 901's! That's what I quit with..I loved the pretty colors. But I really hated the hour and a half to two hour batt life! I also hated the constant cart refill. But they did make the flavors pop. I use one now and again for fun.
I wanted a screwdriver so bad..but I was scared about what people would think! Now I don't care at all and lost my taste for mods. Oh well.

I hated the leaking atty. No matter what I did or how carefully I filled, they leaked.
We went to 808 for our mods and still use them. I do like the flavor better than the 510.

No disrespect to Trogg, but I really don't wanna go around sucking on a pipe bomb looking thing.
I prefer box mods. I never see anybody, so that doesn't matter to me, but I like the looks of a box better.

After going to the box mods, the biggest pain was the carts---too little (no matter how big they made them back then), and the leaking.
I became a full time dripper which I probably will never stop completely. Thank goodness for improved Cartos & the CEs. Will be totally happy when the CE get perfected.

Thanks for starting this thread, Whiskey. It's so good to see the veterans of ECF that are going on three years or more using PVs. (And everyone said it was just a fad and wouldn't help us quit tobacco).

I always refer everyone here before they buy. At first I would try to tell them everything I had learned and found that to be a Huge mistake. Glad to have this forum and very much appreciate all of the people that participate.
