Well, are you? Are you really ready to meet Him face to face? Or, do you have some more "house cleaning to do" before He comes?
If Jesus was coming over to your house for dinner tonight, wouldn't you clean your house so that it was spotless for your most honored guest? Or would you say "this is good enough" even tho there was dirt on the floor and the table had a 1 inch layer of dust on it?
Somedays I'm so anxious to see Him come today, I wait and wait, look for signs, I ask Him when He's coming in prayer daily..........but my house is still dirty, and I know it. I'm watching out the window for Him, but I haven't made all of the preparations first to show Him honor when He gets here.
I still have some "house cleaning" to do. How about you? Is your house clean or dirty? It might look clean on the outside, but take a white glove and go around and really inspect it, and don't forget the corners and behind the fridge. That white glove doesn't lie.
These were just my thoughts this morning after watching the Examine Yourself video yesterday. It's a little over 1 hour long, but a hard hitting honest talk that would benefit everyone who watches it.
It's very difficult to be honest with yourself.......to really examine your heart and your life. To look behind your fridge and in the corners.
But if you really seek to do His will and live for Him, it's a necessary self evaluation.
