Apologies in advance, but when the OP doesn't know or care to use the correct versions of "your" and "you're," especially during a rant against mis-use of language, all the ....s I would have given fly right out the window.

I'm finding that I have to develop a very thick skin with "your, you're" and "there, their, they're"... so few seem to grasp the correct use of any of them. I always wonder, did they skip grammar school? I didn't think that was possible!

But I'm really just delighted to be called a "hipster" at the ripe old age of 53... I need a button to wear around! (I've been a nerd for so long, that one just slides off me like water off a duck's back!)

Actually when I think "mod," I think "Carnaby Street"... Peter Max... et al. I had a 3-ring notebook in 2nd grade (circa 1968) with a print designed by Peter Max, and it said "Carnaby Street" on it somewhere... I also think of the shocking yellow patent-leather boots my mom had around that time...

I'm ok with some of it, thanks to my '90s chat-board involvement, but I don't own any kind of mobile phone, smart or otherwise, so I've missed out on a good deal of it. For instance, "BRB" is very clear -- back in the 90s it usually meant a potty break, so don't say anything funny while I'm gone. On the other hand, "OTOH" completely befuddled me the first time I saw it, and "tl;dr" just looks like someone got their fingers off the home row. Speaking as a real aficionado of extremely long books, "tl;dr" makes no sense to me whatever.

So, I'm fairly new to vaping and find the internet to be a horrible place to learn.
If a online vape store were to explain vaping better, they would make millions.
For starters, don't make up words. Every time I try to find information, it seems there is an entire new language on the internet.
Don't call things by dumb names like mod, then use that word to name different pieces. ... is a mod? I've determined mod is short for modification, which would have been in the early days a modification to a prebuilt cigarette looking e cig. Your big flashlight looking thing is not a mod, and you definitely shouldn't point to the battery holder call it a mod, then point to the tank and also call it a mod. No one knows what your saying.

Now there's something called a clone, which I take to be a fancy name some website can use to sell me a Chinese knockoff of a good rba rda auto clearo carto sausage double knee breaker cloud chasing machine. See, that random string of words makes as much sense as whatever the interent community is talking about.

Bottom line, If you want vaping support from government and outside agencies MAKE IT SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW.
