often this "beginner" forum will get you quicker replies than going to one of the other sub-forums. A lot of ecig questions are general in the sense that they apply to all types of ecigs; so just about any of the vets can provide an answer, even if they don't use your model. This "new members" section actually seems to be the most active on the forum as a whole. Bigger audience means more likelyhood of someone being able to provide a quick answer.

and........welcome to ECF.

So many different models and companies out there, who do you trust and the E-liquid... Is it really safe, do we realy know what is in it? I have found a few companies that list on the bottle what is in it but wow there is alot that dont put anything on their sites much less on the bottle. Who are the trustworthy companies that I can trust not to put some crazy chemical in my bottles.
Any of the suppliers listed here in this forum are trustworthy.
They have to be approved by the forum administrators, and if they aren't cutting it, they won't last around here.

So just check out this link here...

comments on the Joye 510?
You can't go wrong with a Joye 510 model.

The short battery life will wear on you after awhile.
But that's true of all of the cigarette sized models really.

Here are some of the various options if you get tired of constantly charging...
--Get a bunch more regular 510 batteries and a 10-hole charger
--Get some big batteries like an Ego/Riva/Tornado/Inferno
--Get a PCC kit to charge batteries on the go
--Get some 510 mega batteries

Thanks Damian,
That is kinda what I am looking at doing as well. Being military I have to keep in mind that I need it small dependable and very user friendly. I dont always have access to a plug or a computer. I also like the freshness of dripping and keeping my cartys full. I have put a small kit togather with a 6ml visine bottle of e-juice with some exta cartys and an artty and an extra battery. But I will be looking to improve my kit as I learn the ins and outs as well as the does and donts.

Hey wood, the best way to clean your atty is to rinse it with warm water then set it bridge down on a paper towel over night then put 1 or 2 drops of E-liquid on it. After that you are ready to go again.

The best way to prolong the life of an atty is to keep it wet and dont use it dry. As long as you keep the juice on it and clean it about once a week you should get plenty of life out of it.

what type of system do you have?

I have a Riva 1300. Thanks for the information. Should I debridge my atomizer? What does that do?

De-bridging is what some people who drip do to modify their attys. They don't get as gunked up and the flavor is better. Once you de-bridge you can only drip with it and you will not be able to use cartridges anymore.

would you recommend this or no?

I would just because I think the flavor is better and the atty is easier to deal with as far as cleaning. I also drip with a couple of attys that are only de-wicked and I like the flavor from them, too. De-wicking is a lot easier than de-bridging IMO, but that's just a matter of personal preference. I don't worry about not being able to use a cart anymore because I've switched over to cartomizers for use away from home.
