I got this when trying to like a post (obviously lol) - never seen or heard of this before.

It loaded a new page with "Are you sure you want to like this post?"

Is this new?

Was it triggered because I liked too many posts overall? Or liked too many posts in a short time frame? Or.... what?

I just want to know how to prevent it because it slowed me down and was annoying.

I wondered if I was hitting the Like button too much - I was liking a bunch of posts in a thread, plus I had to hit several of them 2 or 3 times because either the website timed out or my internet did (I've been having issues, so I suspect it's my internet)

Hmm, might have been related to the frequency of your "likes" or your timeout issues. Really not sure, though, so maybe somebody with more knowledge of the inner workings of the system will be able to answer . . .

yeah but the reason I'm not sure ... I've done the exact same thing before and didn't get that message. Maybe I actually went over some threshold this time though? Dunno...

I guess misery does love company... cuz I feel better knowing it's not just me (the site doesn't hate me lol)

It feels like a script that automatically approves the "like" stutters every now and again.
I think the default might be: a pop up confirm window that requires a confirmation of yes/no on the "like". ( Our admins programmed it out because it is mostly redundant)

But I'm only guessing.

Definitely alot of weird stuff going on. Yesterday I got blank Last Pages often, duplicate Like alerts, and Instant email notifications took hours.

Fortunately, I'm a casual user and not involved in groups or trading/selling.

There was some certificate work going on yesterday that may have caused some weirdness with some things. Everything should be back to normal now.

I click on the alert and it takes me to the thread and exact post but wont let me scroll

up or down to see any of the other posts.
