Oh, without a doubt. I smoked about a pack a day, and I vape constantly when I am awake. They say that levels off fairly quickly and you vape less. Almost 1 1/2 years later I am still waiting for that to happen.

Wow, 36 mg! I wouldn't be able to vape that. I started at 18 mg and quickly had to step down to 12 mg because I was vaping so much. Now I recently cut from 8 to 6 mg. But that's OK... if it works for you, that is all thatt matters! :vapor:

I was wondering this myself today. When I first started vaping, it was only about 1.5 ml's per day. Lately its up to 3-5 ml's per day. Some of my juices are 18mg, 12mg, and a few 6mg's. Doesn't matter which one, I vape the hell out of it, refill or switch.

Traded one addiction for another? Dont care I like this one much better :)

Its kind of hard to say. I would guess yes but then I do not sit down and vape in a focused and concentrated manner for 7-10 minutes straight, inhaling vapor every other breath, 25-30 times a day. I do vape regularly but its a puff here and there. Probably about the same amount of actual time spent vaping as my pack and a half a day smoking habit.

An addiction is a mental or physical need that must be fulfilled. Even at the expense of yourself and those around you regarding health and welfare.
A habit is something you do consistently that does not affect the health and welfare of yourself and those around you.

Tobacco: over 4,000 ingredients used with at least 40 to 60 that cause health issues. Burning and inhaling this natural plant substance that has been "enhanced" by the addition of various preservatives and other chemicals will cause health issues for yourself and those around you. If you MUST have a smoke, then you are addicted.

Vaping up to 5 ingredients which have been proven to not cause any health issues in the majority of people who have used them separately or in combination. Unknown long-term health risks, but preliminary study and observation does not show any significant issues to health or welfare. Most long-term users have been able to go without vaping for hours at a time without any symptoms of addiction.
If you MUST have a vape at the expense of those around you you are addicted. If not, then it's a habit.

I have a vaping habit, not an addiction.

It levels off? OMG I can't wait for this to happen :D
Wait. No, I don't wanna level off. I love the big clouds of vapor, and awesome tasty flavors. I think I'll continue pretty much living in a vape tent.

Dont lie yourself guys, this is adictive also, nicotine is well known for being addictive, those with vaping "habit" can you do 2 days without vaping? And is also risky, there is not enough studies of what can we get in a long time..

Here is quote from DiscountVapers

Risks with Vaping

Risks, risks, risks.. seems like everything we do these days have risks.
Guess what? Vaping is no exception. If you think vaping is safe you are wrong, it is not. The only thing safe is clean fresh air going into your lungs, vaping involves "safe" chemicals like PG and VG and nicotine (yes, nicotine is considered "safe") However, our bodies and especially our lungs are NOT naturally made to handle the amounts of these chemicals entering our airways. VG is a thick filmy substance when you let it settle onto a surface.

Blow some exhaled vapor onto a cleaned smooth surface a few times, then take a clean oil free finger and wipe along where you exhaled the vapor.

See the result? Yep, that's in your lungs.

I am not trying to scare you, I want you to be informed, that is broken down by your body, but you should never be under the impression that vaping is a safe alternative to smoking, it is not.

It may be safer, we do not know for sure, there are not enough studies on it and this is why we vendors are not allowed to claim it is a safe alternative and I agree 100% it is NOT.

If you have made the decision to vape, know the facts as much as you can, you are letting chemicals not ordinarily found in your lungs to exist, by that very acknowledgement you understand that it is not "safe"

When you purchase something from DiscountVapers or any vendor you must do so with this in mind.

This is not just the eliquid I am talking about. All vendors buy from China, we all know the track record they have. We sell what they produce and sell it with the knowledge of ony what they tell us.

Do we know if the plastics they are using are safe?
Do we know the silica wicks do not contain fibers?
Do we know the machine oils have been cleaned off?

No. We do not, not 100% anyway.

What I am telling you is this... Vaping is a risk, a risk you must go into with your eyes open. Smoking kills for sure, we know that, we do not know what vaping does. Please keep this in mind.

If you are unsure, do not vape.

I definitely vaped a ton when I first switched over from analogs and also whenever I lowered my nicotine level. After a while, I'd use less and less and then step down again. I made it to 3mg juice and tried zero....didnt work so well. really needed a fix one day and bought a pack of bidis (indian cigarette which I admit I smoke one from time to time because I have a friend that smokes them daily) and before I knew it I was smoking a pack of those every two days. So I immediately got back on the wagon and ordered some new juice. Vaping non stop if given the opportunity. Why did I have to be so stupid? in a few days I'll level out and start the step down process again... It's amazing that as little as 3mg can keep you addicted. Nicotine is a helluva drug.

I vape a lot more then I was smoking in the last few years - but not more then I ever smoked.

You see, I started smoking in the days when cigarettes where less then $3.00 a carton, and you could smoke indoors everywhere, so I chained smoked at work and at home. I smoked three packs a day.

But, buy I started vaping, I was down to lees then a pack a day, both because of cost and the fact that I was only smoking outside and only during limited breaks at work.

Now, I have become a chain vaper. I do it all day, it is cheap (I vape unflavored 30mg/ml) and no one objects to me doing it inside.

I did for about 6 months while I was cutting out nicotine. After that time and being at 5mg and 0mg I got the medical OK to increase nicotine for health reasons. I started vaping at 11mg, I stepped it up to 18mg. Now I vape about the same or less than I smoked. Sometimes I have to remind myself to take in some nicotine because I've gone without too long.

Nicotine treatment for ulcerative colitis
They didn't tell me to increase it, they gave me the OK to increase it. My original diagnosis was Crohn's which nicotine is not good for, at that time the GI wasn't even happy with me using 5mg part of the time, she wanted me completely nicotine free but as long as I wasn't smoking was OK with me going at my own pace.

My father also has Parkinson's which is another thing nicotine helps. So my family history points to nicotine not being such a bad thing for me.

i vape too much. people point that out sometimes.

i started at 6mg/ml fluids, now i've been double purchasing fluids at 6mg and 0mg to mix em for what i assume ends up being 3mg/ml.
i've been using up about 3-5 mL per day, depending on what im doing. keep your hands occupied and you wont reach for the mod as much :)
