Arg!! Evod, arg!!

It's official. I have had an Evod stuck on every device I have. What am I doing wrong? I am tired of using pliers to get the base off of the battery! Yes, I wipe the thread, but just with a damp cotton swab. Any other suggestions?

Don't tighten it down so hard maybe. It just has to make contact. It does NOT have to be tight enough withstand reentry into the Earth's atmosphere.

I dunno. I use EVODs all the time and I never have had to use pliers. You putting the hammerlock on them when you screw them on? I usually put just enough force to make contact with the battery contacts. If you have to screw down really hard, maybe you need to lower the contact pin in the EVOD. They are threaded, so unscrew it a turn, and see if you need less force to make contact.

I just wonder if using a damp cotton swab is causing some slight rust issue on the threads causing it to bond.

I tell you, I think her connecting pin has slipped up a bit, and that is making her over-tighten the EVOD onto the eGo threads.

Could be the pin, but it's two different Evods! One is brand new, just got it in vapemail today and I rinsed it and wiped it, filled it, wiped it again and after a while I started to have issues with it. Still half full, so I tried to take it off and it was stuck! I may be tightening it too much. Sometimes even my hubby can't get the top off of the Mtn. Dew bottle if I've been the last one to use it. This Grandma still has some steam in her, apparently! Thanks everyone!!!

Do not use water when cleaning the threads. If anything youre better off having a very light sheen of eliquid on them. They dont have to be that tight either. A only turn mine lightly hand tight, afraid ill break em

Same problem with 2 Evods... if on the same battery, maybe the battery pin is depressed?

I did this once on my evic... emptied the tank all over my hands and needed pliers to get it out..

now I never make the mistake of making it even a little bit tight.. I just make contact and vape away.

I think this happens more on the tube mods like evic/zmax with the 510/ego threading because on my MVP no matter how tight it is.. it unscrews just fine.

i can't help but for the future, i keep mine just tight enough to make contact. some might even call it loose.
