Hi,
My name is Arie. I'm from The Netherlands and I just registered myself to this forum and introduce myself because it's the proper thing to do when you meet new people.

I have smoked a-sigarets for almost 35 years. Once I found an alterative in the form of an E-sigaret, at first I smoked less and since a little bit more than 2 years by now I only vape. Have not tried an A-sig since then.
Of course, I tried 1 a-sig once or twice but it tasted bad and I decided not to use them again, for ever. Changing to vaping gave me a better health, more stamina, everything tast's much better and I'm sleeping better and since then.

I'm active at some other places on the world wide web at which someone mentioned this forum to me, so I got curious enough to take a look. It will take me half of a lifetime to read all posts here and then I probably have to start all over again to read all the new posts that will come along. So I will read what looks interesting to me. I also will post questions for help or try to help fellow vapers where and if I can.

My current and most used vape-ware:
Mods:
Wismec Reuleaux DNA200 mod (2 weeks experience)
Pioneer4You IPV mini 30W
GP Paps Brass mech mod (clone)

Atty's:
eXvape Expromizer V1,1 RTA
Uwell Crown sub-ohm clearomizer with RBA coil and standard coils
UD Igo-W RDA
Darang RDA (clone)

I also have a EHPRO Nemesis mech clone, a UD-Aga T2, a Kanger Protank II mini, a Kanger Protank II and a Plume Veil clone RDA.

I build my own coils for the different RDA's/RTA's and I mix my own juice

I'm not a frequent buyer for new vape-ware. I only buy what I like and will pick it carefully after investigating the item(s) about it's pro's and con's. Most things are used by me until the are beyond repair or obsolete. So don't expect regular reviews for new things or vapemail posts from me. The only thing that arrives here on a regular basis are flavours and base for mixing my juices and some wicking/coiling materials.

I'm not a newbie vaper but I'm always eager and willing to learn and I'm very confident I'm at the right place for this.

I hope this introduction gives you an idea for who I am. Should you have any question, please let me now. It will be a pleasure to answer if I can.

Hi djsvapour,

The vaping scene here in Holland is still growing. There are many vaping communities active and member lists are still growing. Regulations about vaping however are still uncertain. The word is that advertising and social websites/fora are to be banned somewhere next year. But there is still nothing certain about this and we hope it will come to that. There is a Dutch organisation, called ACVODA that is fighting for the vapers and their rights here in Holland.

About the beer; I assume the beer here in Holland is a little different than what you are used too. Did you know here in Holland there are hundreds of different beer's to choose from? For example, we drink Dutch, Belgium, German, English beer's. (Off course, we usually drink Dutch branded beer's like Heineken and Amstel or like in Maastricht it would probably be Leeuw Beer because they are easy to find in every liquor-store or market). I'm sure if you had the opportunity to and the access to all of those different beer's there would at least one of them that yo would like.

Yes, the TPD... :-x

Rumour has it, vaping forums might even be banned. I can't see it myself. Advertising, yes, forums, no. People do have a right (under EU law) to express themselves on any subject (discounting certain 'incitements') as far as I know.

Yeh... Amstel, Heineken, those are the ones. Lager... as I call it.

Thanks for you great reply! :)

(ooh, I spelled Maastricht wrong... that's where the EU treaty was signed, as well)

Hello and welcome to the forum @Variarie. Glad to have you here!:)
The only thing that arrives here on a regular basis are flavours and base for mixing my juices and some wicking/coiling materials.
For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum. Lots of great info in all the "stickies".

Even though you are not new to DIY you may find some of these links helpful.
  • Dannyv45's blogs will give insight into all aspects of DYI, from steeping to what supplies to have on hand to a basic walk through mixing your first E-juice. => dannyv45 - Blogs
  • Hoosier's blogs concentrate on fine tuning your mix and give insight on additives. =>Hoosier - Blogs
  • For a juice mixing calculator consider using eJuiceMeUp
Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

I'm not sure about forums to be closed. The Dutch government is a little bit awkward and doesn't always comply to some rules that are inconvenient to them. If they can create a precedent by ruling beside these rules they would consider doing so.
Holland is considered to be the practical example for the TPD in Europe and our government acts under heavy influence of the tobacco industry lobby.
Since the Dutch have forgotten how to fight for there rights since the last war and rant all day about the rulings of our government, I think it must become worse than it is now before we all stand out for our course.

@ Susan~S:
Thank you for the warm welcome.

That's quite an impressive list. Thank you for that. I'm sure to look into them all to see if I can take useful information from all that is written there.
I'm not new to DIY indeed, but I'm always willing and eager to learn more than I know now.
Is there a place with Atmos Labs recipes? I also have a lot of flavours from them and there aren't many recipes available. The only ones I know off are the ones mentioned at the Atmos Labs website.
